I"ve finally come back to update my review. I'm leaving the original so that folks can see the change.

First off, the map rescale, brought new life to the game, it made it feel like we are actually doing real long range driving, in the US. that alone makes the game about 3 points better. The grapevine is ok, the Cajon pass is great. they still could use some work on other minor areas but its drasticly improved.

they're finally adding a new state (admittedly the rescale meant that they would be delaying map releases) and its New Mexico, I'm looking forward to seeing how they do here, as the state presents some interesting driving challenges.

Graphics can still be problemmatic and the bloom remains an eyesore, other wise the game has been made better and they have clear signs of working harder

I hate writing negative reviews, but to be honest, I have to here. There are MAJOR issues with the CA map, that just can't be overlooked. First off, the geography is bad. IE, they have Oxnard, where the city of San Luis Obispo should be. Second, they didn't put in the grapevine, or the Cajon pass to Barstow, Nor the baker grade (all of which are land mark places in the real world and known truck challenges. Second the time compression is too much, it should take a while to get to Las Vegas from LA, not minutes in the real world. The graphics are nice, but again, the bloom is too much and the Dashes on the trucks are overly fuzzy.
its nice to drive in the US, but the map, and compression need to be re done. I know for a fact they were told about the map being off ages ago, but nothing seemed to have changed.

Over all, I'm giving it a 4/10
