Early Access Review
So i've been in maps (endish game) for a few days now and i'd like to give my thoughts.
The story on this game (at least the first play through) is amazing and challenging and just fun. The bosses are unique and some take multiple attempts and i just had a blast. The second play through (cruel) was more of a cake walk provided you were stacking up the right resistances and had a good combat loop going but i'm not complaining it was nice to take a walk down memory lane and whoop on those that were challenging for me the first go.

Right now other than bland mapping and sucky trading my only real grip is the POLORIZING difference in difficulty the trails are from the other content at their level. I think GGG needs to re evaluate the honor point system and the difficulty spike that they have with gaining ascension points and how freaking hard it is to get trail orbs to make multiple attempts... because trust me you will die and die.... and die when you attempt them (after the first one anyways). If they keep the difficulty they need to allow multiple repeats on a single orb at the minimum just the same as they do with the first two orbs you get. I made it to endgame mapping until i caved and started buying the orbs that allow me to try to get my third set of ascension points.

End game mapping is the same as POE 1 except you get one life and then the map goes poof... I'm not really a fan of that because POE 1 is notorious for their immediate and random deaths once mobs start grouping and POE 2 isnt an exception. I'm a bit sad they havent used this fresh start to maybe do something different but maybe its to come. Each map doesnt have a boss by the way and only certain ones do and so far its been repeats from campaign.

A second note... Amazing job with the controller controls. Its very smooth and controls were implemented flawlessly. Only note i have on that is that the UI seems a little janky once and a while and doesnt fit on screen or is way to crowded.

Regardless i love the game and cant wait to see what GGG does with it by the time its ready for actual release. Good job GGG!
