Cute and entertaining farm simulator, with a cultivation tendencies thrown in into the mix.
Thanks to the recent Spirit of Jade update game progression is less challenging and grindy, so you can enjoy more cozy gameplay without stressing overmuch about finishing everything on your farm in time for a next season.

Pros:
Nice story about rebuilding the cultivation sect, if that's your cup of tea.
Fun cooking minigame, which you can also skip and autocomplete if you don't like doing it.
Cute characters, though finding out their full backstory will take quite a bit of time in the endgame.
Not too much pressure about raising all the crops in time until next season.
Challenging combat throughout all the story, you can kill enemies quickly but they could also do the same for you.
Lots of storage, really lots, and easily accessible at teleport locations, so no need to build and place a bunch of chests on you farm.

Cons:
Somewhat clunky controls, if you're a perfectionist it may annoy you to plant a seed in wrong plot or to make several attempts to choose right ingredient for cooking.
Late story progression relies on raising special crops and grinding quite a bit of materials from dungeons, so if you dislike combat here, it could be annoying.

Overall, as a long-term Stardew fan, I really liked the game, it provided more than enough entertainment for it's low price.

P. S. I would advise to stock up on the rare variants of your regular crops that you'll harvest, unless you really need money. Especially rare potatoes.
