Best Idle game I've played so far. Sure it still never finished a few things, but its interesting and throws new mechanics at you, making you excited to get to the next thing.

Such a beautiful survival game. The story, the music, even the low resource building.

So far only 2 stories down, and definitely going to finish the remaining at this rate.

Some parts aren't realistic (especially end of main story), but that music hit perfect, and set the vibe just right for everything. Definitely going to buy Frostpunk 2, hopefully it becomes an improvement.

Like Runescape, but 10x faster.
Only concern is Jagex recently bought it, After Jagex outsourced their support personnel a decade ago, they were giving away high profile accounts and not caring about it. Luckily the game is single player.

The concept is great, having the ability to brew potions in any direction is fun.

Seeing how its alpha, there are a few balance issues:
Anything other than the 4-5 basic herbs, seems like a waste of effort, and are only nice for "random exploration/experimentation".
Herbs being so costly, hurt experimentation, so you end up just save/reloading if something doesn't work out. Eventually I just went to the wiki because margins felt so thin even for Tier 3 potions.

Hopefully ALL herbs will be more plentiful/cheaper, and experimentation might get rewarded (maybe instead of just xp on map, have an unlock placed randomly where you have to brew to it.)

I was concerned about the bad reviews about bad AI, however patch 10 changed it, so I didn't have to see any of it. From what I can tell, they did an awesome job.

This game has done well fixing bugs too, as I was only able to spot a couple GUI (easily work around), and 1 where a person was stuck in a pod (reload current save fixed it). Nothing game stopping.

The only valid annoyanaces one could get is from some sort of gameplay imbalance/unfair rules, however those have been so small compared to the large amount of gameplay.

This game is worth it.

Unfinished game... unplayable:
Save system is beyond broken in multiple ways, your save files revert hours, or just dont save. If you look up the workarounds, they sort of work, then you realize how janky the save system works.
Not a big deal, until you want to: continue your game, or rollback a few minutes because of the below bugs

Rocket '100%' this is where it will land, slams into a wall
99% hit rate is a complete miss... sure "rng"... but since when did a 100% hit/100% crit miss AS WELL? That threw me back mentally. I can only assume I was 'too close' or something? But why bother telling me anything....
Unbeatable 'whale' mission... everyone knows about this, first play through game expects you to know its unbeatable. It gets more difficult as the mission progresses to lure you in. Then 3 spawns a turn. This mission can be given to you within the first hour of gameplay.

Game was AWESOME until you find yourself repeating the same several hours because it lied to you about something and you just want a fair game. I would buy xcom 2 if I knew it fixed these bugs/issues, but I see people still have issues with their saves in that game.
I would say 10/10 if save showstopper was fixed, but 5/10 because it discourages you from playing.


Other bugs I found personally - cant use 2nd story of building, you are forced onto the bottom floor when giving movement commands, annoying but not completely game breaking.
AI will choose to ignore your players - maybe this is 'pity' from the AI, but game loses its realism when they just stand next to you, and attack the furthest unit away.

Then if you read the forums, you will notice about other 5 game breaking bugs, and 5+ really annoying ones.

Well optimized (and planned to be further optimized before release)
The perfect base building game. Definitely worth trying if you've enjoyed Factorio.

The spiders... truly terrifying with the sound ambiance.

When you complete most of Vanilla, definitely look into the mods. Most are balanced and feel like they should be a part of the core game. Devs are still updating, so its worth checking back too.

I wrote a long review, but steam considers pointing out flaws a problem with their guidelines and won't say what specifically is wrong with my in depth review.

Garbage UI, font is fuzzy and small. Official dev response is "won't fix".

First stardock game to extremely disappoint..

Game isn't bad, although gets frustrating at times:
Duplicants refuse to eat, some feel like doing jobs is better than breathing, so they suffocate, despite you micro-managing them back to oxygen. The game used to break down with memory issues at about cycle 40. Now the duplicants themselves just give up on life.
Clutter like no other (vents/pipes/transformers/pumps) taking up too much space.

I've played since public release, although always end up quitting for months due to clutter/duplicant suicides. I just hope the devs stop adding features, and fix a few QoL issues.
