HARDEST BOSS IS LAUNCHING THE GAME

Game was successfully launched, and bosses were slain. It was a good time.

WOAH!

The only thing really wrong about this game is the title of it

The controls are tight, the leveldesign is great and the soundtrack absolutely amazing. I don't really have much more to say about the game, but what more could you want from a platformer? A story? It's got that too + some surprisingly interesting characters.

Basically this game ticks all the right boxes for me so this is definitely a game I would recommend at full price.

It's like a more violent Zelda game

All of my friends are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but at least I get to turn collision on and knock them off the course which I feel is definitely improving our friendship a lot

The english dubs are better than the japanese. Fight me.

I haven't had any experience with crashes or bugs like most of the other negative reviews. I just don't like the game very much.

The level design feels very uninspired and the textures in most of the environments are butt ugly. All the levels are extremely linear, which I'm sort of fine with, but it feels like you're just going through and killing the same five enemies in every mission. Then at the end of a level there's often an extremely uninteresting boss fight, although some of them(like 3) I enjoyed quite a bit. The music in the boss fights is enjoyable, but I'm really not sure there were any unique themes, since at least some of them got reused a lot, which really detracts from the experience.

The combat is alright. It's not bad, I just really didn't feel the need to explore the complexity of the combat-system since it really wasn't necessary, at least in the first playthrough.
The game can be a bit hard at times, until you figure out that living weapon pretty much acts as a win-button, and from there on there's really no satisfaction in killing anything that was intended to be an intimidating encounter.

It's been a while since I played a game in a similar setting as Nioh so that's at least one thing I could appreciate.

Oh and if you're going into this game thinking you can scratch some sort of Dark Souls/Bloodborne itch while you're waiting for the next FromSoftware game, I would reconsider and maybe do a bit more research, since I didn't feel like this game was anything like those. A lot of other people do though.

Had fun playing as 2B despite the game running like absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but I just cannot for the life of me find any fun in playing as 9S so I'll probably never get to experience whatever is lurking in the 3rd playthrough.
It's probably still worth it for the first playthrough for some people though.
