A cute little game of norse clans colonizing Iceland. The game has a simple survival mechanic that keeps growing harder the more winters you survive. Thus, the main goal of the game is to create has much production has quickly has possible. It has some simple layers of strategy (especially in production placement) and each clan has it's unique advantages. The art style is simple but gorgeous.

The AI and the way it processes the passing system is horrid.

You will end up being frustrated by trying to pass between two midfielders just to see your weak pass going ALL THE WAY to your striker, who is surrounded by three defenders. This happens 9/10 times...

Combat, UI, Voice Acting, Save mode, Lack of enemy library, limited DM mode and shallow characters in SP campaign tarnish a game that had a lot of potential.

If you came here looking to build your own adventure from 0 (like it's advertised) go away. You're forced with pregenerated maps and just put stuff in there. They didn't even bother changing the maps from the SP campaign. So your left playing the same maps you did in SP, making the whole experience feel repetitive.

The game can be fun if you're into ARPG with a couple of friends. But I can't give it a thumbs up due to all the advertisement around it and the huge legacy of brilliant games behind it.

This game is pretty awesome!

I believe mid-game and late game encounters get a bit of a cluster (your party, a maximum of 3, against some 10/15 enemies) and those 20 bucks are a bit rough on the price, some 12/14€ would be way more valuable. Still...

You get to go on amazing adventures with 3 explorers, with 4 classes to choose from, each one unique. The maps are random generated under a theme (like, Pirate Den, Ancient Castle, so on) and the combat system is EXTREMELY friendly. I love the sense of exploration.

PCGamer compared this game with FTL, since it's a roguelike with time limits, but other than that, this game is on a place of it's own. I love the victorian "Exploration Era" vibe it exudes and the gameplay helps keepin up with it.

Cheers.

Early Access Review
I saw the world map and the premise and was an instabuy for me. Europa Universalis meets High Fantasy.

In my 4 hours playing it, I tried 2 nations. My first nation was Cloudfells, the unique Giant kingdom. It got a bit boring on the long run, but mostly because I was "discovering" the game. For my second play I chose Dragonhold, a militarist and protective human kingdom that lives atop some mountains. And it was quite engaging! Being surrounded by potential enemies made me advance quickly to get "key" regions and it all fell quite entertaining in the few hours I played.

Pros:
+ Lots of kingdoms.
+ A varied and unique unit rooster per kingdom.
+ Some different gameplay mechanics depending on the kingdom you choose.

Cons:

- Diplomacy has few options to interact with other Kingdoms, making it feel shallow.
- Every land gives you the same coin (150) per economy lvl, the only thing that changes is the price to upgrade, making economy predictable and bland.
- No multiplayer.

All and All, It's a fun game, still in early access but with enough content to keep you engaged for a while.

I'm a metacritic freak but I have to disagree with them this time. This game is awesome if you have a solid group of friends. Different ships with different layouts keep the game fresh and you have to be very pro-active and team-player (tho not in a coercive way like in MOBAs). Definitely a great buy to play with friends!

This game is a blast. 4 player co-op can sometimes become desynced but variety of classes, loads of weapons and pets make the game interesting and the game is extremely funny.

Buy it, play it with friends. You won't regret it ahahah

This game has gone a long way since Beta. It had a troubled release but thanks to an active community and some responsive developers has been adding content with a steady pace and turning every experience in the game the most enjoyable possible. Every hero ingame is obtainable if you put a minimum effort to it and it's not like those "Free to play" where you have to play for 2 months to get a cookie. Best when played with friends, grab some 4 friends and go kick some villains ass.

"Saints Row: The Third" is a hell of a game. It has a no non-sense story but has the missions are really wacko and if you want to play a game that FEELS like a game, this one is definitely for you! MAJOR LAUGHS garanteed during it's playthrough."
