Wolfenstein II is a great game. It has fantastic gameplay and production values. But unfortunately, its narrative supports racism even as it claims to fight it.

Normally, I am not bother by game stories or politics, and I'm no SJW or extremist, I just really get bothered by hypocracy, and the narrative was spoiled by the political agenda of the writers.

On on hand, Wolfenstein II continues BJ blazkowicz's fight against tyranny, bigotry, and fascism. We expect the Nazis to be evil, and we have no compunctions fighting the good fight against them.

However, suddenly BJ, our white protagonist (Who is stated early on in game to be a perfect example of the aryan race by the villain), now hates whites. WTH? He was actually decent most of the first part of the game, up until he met our other racist protagonist, Grace Walker.

The instant he runs into Grace Walker, she starts flinging racial slurs about his skin color and strong BJ just let her tirade against his race, taking it like a victim. Oddly enough, in the next scene, BJ himself turns racist suddenly and without any previous tendency, and says about the nazi and kkk alliance that "Those white <expletive> are gonna die". It's just totally unreal and stupid.

He didn't refer to the enemy as nazis, or fascists, or KKK members, or even white supremacist (none of whom should ever be supported). No, he only referred to them by their skin color. It's flat-out racism right there! Bethesda, I thought you were against this crap? I'm shocked you haven't been called out on this already and crucified by the media.

Now, this has soured my opinion of the game and Bethesda. The politics in the game are very hypocritical. You fight racism as a character that for some nonsensical reason has become the very thing he fights, a racist. If you can get past that, or just want to shoot up a bunch of enemies in a really well made game, by all means buy it and play. It's a great game. I loved the gameplay and the progression system and even some of the characters like Fergus.

In conclusion, unlike it's amazing predecessors, games that don't take things too serious and are just fun FPS games with great characters, Wolfenstein II: The new Colossus's story is marred by hateful political agenda. if that bothers you, stay far away.

I don't normally review games, but I have to attest to how addictive and great this game is. I don't have a lot of time to play games, so 16.6 hours at the time of writing this (In a two day period of play mind you) is amazing. I literally cannot stop playing it when I pick it up, at least, not until I fall asleep.

I love Stellaris for its customization ability, but for some reason this one grabbed my attention more as a 4x game. The races are so unique and have such personality. They are not cliched in any way. For example, the Sophons at first appear to be your typical highly advanced tech race, but they are totally irresponsible and have a teenage mentality. This leads to technology sometimes biting them back in the butt, as they design rogue ais and cause general problems in the galaxy.

I love Horatio. What an amazing race! I imagine whole worlds full of coneheads waging war and trying to make everything beautiful as His image. And there are even various factions of Him. lol. it's hilarious going to war with yourself.

Anyway, the gameplay itself is fun. The space battles are a joy to behold and feature impressive backdrops (The Academy's system battle map blew me away).

The devs spared no attention to detail either. There are so many quests and happenings in the universe it just feels alive, and each race has their own story. Even ground battles are a treat to watch, especially when your army is made of a coalition of assimilated races. Every model in the battle looks like members of its race or the races that you've brought to invade.

Driving ahead to victory and advancing and colonizing are a joy too. There are always so many strategic choices to make, and so many layers, yet it is so simple to understand after playing its in-game tutorial. Whenever something new comes up, if you have the tutorial running it gives you a very brief and uninvasive view of the concept and lets you play as you want.

All in all, one of the best 4x games I've played, and I've been playing them since civ 1.

Tyranny. What can I say, I've never rooted so much for the heroes I ended up executing so brutally.

But I still executed them, because, they are bugs needing a good swatting and they are in my way.

Tyranny is a game with a surprising amount of replay value for an RPG, and a game world that is one of the most fleshed out, unique fictional worlds I've ever seen in any medium, and I am absolutely in love with it. They say no news is good news, and in a world where an evil overlord delivers his news in the hand of you, a fatebinder, this has never been more true. A single reading of the Overlord's magical spells known as Edicts can doom an entire country and cause an apocalype beyond imagine. As the Fatebinder, you are tasked with putting down a stubborn band of rebels. But the beauty of this game is, you don't have to. You can join either them or two other warring factions and change the fate of the Tiers, one of the last regions of the world left free from Tyranny.

The game starts typically with a character creation, but the similarities to other RPGs ends there. The last step of Character Creation is called "Conquest" and it lets you choose how you begin to help Kyros the overlord conquer the last free bastion of hope during the course of three years. Your choices during Conquest change the entire landscape of the game. Sometimes, a city is destroyed, othertimes, certain factions hate you more. The game reminds you constantly through reactions and battles about your part in the war, but you still have time to change that, thankfully.

They say a great story is nothing without great characters and Tyranny delivers. I'm so glad it didn't devolve into silly clichés of evil. Every party member is unique and has a different opinion of you based on what you have done. And the balancing act of trying to keep them loyal is quite fun. Some of them can outright die based on your choices, and you can personally end their lives in some cases. Not only this, but I found myself actually loving my enemies.

The various heroic captains and wizards whom you face are very human, and this is one of the few games I've ever felt like I like the standard grunts and mini-bosses. They are fighting for their lives, so it becomes difficult to take it all away from them and be truly evil. I found myself sparing them to join the scarlet chorus, one of the factions that converts enemies into crazed soldiers. I realized death was probably a better option, and later on, when their friends discovered my actions, all Hell broke loose.

These kind of interactions have changed how I respond in the game, and every choice seems to be difficult to make. I don't want to screw people over, but I do!

Anyway, I could gush about this game for a long time. Needless to say, Tyranny has affected me like few games have: It has a world I want to just lose myself in, despite its darkness, and characters both evil and good that I root for, and it has rewarding and fun combat. I love the spell crafting, I love how I can use any skill and level it up. It's just great all around.

I highly recommend Tyranny to anyone wanting to feel powerful, to anyone who is a fan of Baldur's Gate or Pillars of Eternity, and for those who love an amazing fantasy world with unique concepts, and a great story.

Okay, I don't normally write reviews for games, especially Early Access games. In fact, this is my very first review, but Goblins and Grottos deserves more props and hopefully more support from gamers than it is probably getting.

Why? Because it is devious fun and a great puzzle game with a lot of potential. It's also a full game right now, and pretty dang fun.

Imagine for a moment, playing a weak, almost defenseless goblin in a world where cliched fantasy heroes with the AI personality of MMO players slaughter you and your kin as if you were level -10 pond scum. Now imagine proving them idiots as you lure them into traps, drop things on them, drown them, get them to kill each other, blow them up with dynamite and bombs, and generally wreak havoc on these mighty morons.

Now Imagine a world that makes fun of fantasy tropes and memes in every action with clever jokes and situations and features a story of revenge told from the other side of fantasy: The goblin side!

Now mix that with clever and sometimes difficult puzzles that can only be solved with a mixture of using the heroes to your advantage, using trapdoors, chains, and rolling on top of boulders to get around (And occasionally squishing heroes as you roll over them). You have to think to survive in this game.

Does that sound fun? Because that's not all. Goblins and Grottos features a full map editor so you can make your own devious levels and populate them with your own twisted creations.

Just buy it. It's a fun game and has longevity built into it.

Plus, it's fun to play a weakling for a change. Like any decent goblin, you'll find yourself dying over and over again, in comical ways, blowing yourself up, drowning yourself, doing everything you did to heroes to yourself. And it's fun, because you're reminded by all the smoking, shattered, broken corpses of yourself throughout the level that you made progress on your quest to defeat the ultimate paladin, and you're only a hundred or so deaths away from revenge!
