Starbound is one of the most enjoyable sandbox games I've played. There is tons of content, a story line and quests and the universe is infinite (the biomes duplicate themselves). Mining is great, fossils gathering is good (you can display your fossils also), crafting is a real plus and of course there is money (pixels is the currency), all this and much more in a simple (but effective) 2D-pixel graphic environment. If you like the 'Sandbox' gaming genre, you should check Starbound out! I have not played in quite awhile, it's time to play again!

I was pretty skeptical about this game, then it went on sale and that caught my attention. I did some research on reviews for the game and one of my most trusted sources (GameSpot) gave the game a 9 - Superb and I decided to purchase it and try it.
The game has performed pretty smooth so far and the graphics are good, but the atmosphere and visual depiction of Los Angeles is fantastic! The story line and voice acting is very good and quite absorbing. I've never been a big fan of crime detective adventure mysteries but this game has changed all that...I'm hooked, at least for L.A. Noire. The keyboard (you can customize) and mouse controls take a bit of practice but then it flows quite well.
The downside (which is very insignificant) is the auto saves, I'm not a fan of that but in a game like this that is probably the only option.
I highly recommend this game, just be sure you have a computer that can handle it...I too give it a 9 out of 10!
