It´s a good but super limited game, with a very, very, very bad PC port. Any setting but 60 FPS Fullscreen VSYNC results in the game being stuck to 30fps in my machine. On top of that, I´ve experienced multiple infinite loading screens to the point where I cannot continue my campaign run.

On the "good" side there´s been a few patches but none have addressed the technical problems that make it often unplayable. Also, you don´t have to install Origin to play. You see the EA logo at the beginning, though. There aren´t microtransactions and multiplayer progress earns you cosmetics only through in-game earned currency.

Campaign is cool too, as limited in scope as the rest of the game but with good mission design and fun and fitting writing, often getting gritty and twisted when playing with the Empire. There´s no air to ground missions, though, which are sorely missing.

I´d say if you are lucky to have it working and you like the premise, it´s a good little game. Extra points if you have a VR Headset and a HOTAS, and a bunch of friends to play with and coordinate in Fleet battles.

But as it stands its difficult to recommend a game with such heavy technical issues. It would be an easy recommend if all these issues are fixed.
