Although I would say people need to actually give some depth to why. E.g 'lazy and overall stupid developers' doesn't really say much :D Do they do no patches a year, is the content cheap and recycled etc.

I'd argue the hours are irrelevant. TF2 is a perfect example of a great game ruined - I would have recommended it in it's prime but now I would not. Nothing about being bitter, it's just stating an opinion. From the other perspective, The Forest was awfully reviewed initially but now is the complete opposite as the content improved. Reviews aren't locked and you can always change them too.

It's almost lke you can enjoy a game for a while then become bitter when you see it ruined and post a negative review despite a large number of hours. And you're not even in the region with the pedophile admins....

Bit of an old review but content isn't static. Just because someone has X amount of hours doesn't mean their not allowed to change their mind :D I have 336 hours on this game and I personally wouldn't rate it now. If you look at something like Dota 2 from 2012 to now the game is completely different, I have 5000 hours but I'm starting to question if I'd actually recommend it or even want to play it any more.
