TLTR, buy it on sale as it's not really a fun package overall.
I bought both shadow games for less than $10 each, but overpaid this one with $25. I should have waited for less than $15 like what you could have bought nowadays with a sale.

very much like some reviewers said, there is really just ONE way to solve a bigger puzzle. Sure the encounters might be random as it's cone alert zone watch and time based. But overall, you are really forced fed a particular direction to the end. You do the same peel onion layers one by one routine for each mission, until the whole thing is dismantled.

The story telling might be the only saving grace for this types of games. The rest is really just the same trial and error boring gameplay testing your patience more than your intelligence.

While I liked Shadow tactics, even with the same painfully boring repetitive gameplay, I realized the only charm is the presentation. Desperados is similar in that the presentation is quite attention grabbing, but the gameplay sucks when you look deeper. In addition, it's a game afterall, so there is nothing immersive about the game design.

Mimimi has shutdown its business, good riddance perhaps? They obviously impressed some fans, but ultimately, the game play failed to appeal to the general public. It's another niche game that only few can endure..
