Its ok, feel like a typical hack and slasher. darktide is more fun but this game is ok to have fun as well. ill play thru it before returning to my fav game of darktide 40k. please enjoy

Hello fellow Hell Divers

I've been playing Hell Divers for about 2 days ( 3.9 hours ) now and Im quickly losing interest.

The reason I'm losing interest is because the game loop feels super repetitive. Go into a randomly generated area, complete a generic objective and then extract. There's no element of story or plot in the missions. Just a % bar and if the community does enough missions then the planet will be Liberated.

The weapons feel weak. The standard assault rifle is basically useless in higher difficulties when most enemies are just heavies. There's no variations between types of weapons.

I find myself just following random players while they do all the work and extract. That has become my gameplay loop, as those players have better heavy weapons to take out heavies.

DRG is really fun

What ive noticed is that the bug animations are have massive clipping issues thru the walls, The map is all just sand which gets boring fast, the objective is not clear, Players with high ping can join, weapons do not feel satisfying. Feels like a Starship trooper mod to a random first person shooter then an actual stand alone. Some of these issues can be fixed through more development into the game, other issues appear to be integrated into the core gameplay which may prove harder to fix.

New review after 1000 hours: This game is finally coming together.

Old review: Unfortunately after 935 hours in darktide, i still cannot give this game a positive review.

No new game modes for an entire year. ( auric modes are basically the same game modes just upd in difficulty )

Using gacha tactics to cash in on the rise in players from update ie raising cosmetic prices and finally release kreig skins which i called they would do once the game was in a playable state.

Still no weapon modification as promised during pre release

Still locking perks and blessings

No new free cosmetics in commissary

Yes, Thank you for finally release a proper skill tree system, but it appears that with this skill tree system there will be no new classes as everything has been merged into 1 skill tree.

We still got half the game which was promised to us and everyone seems to be praising fatshark and overlooking the fact that they purposely left out the patch note where they would be raising the cosmetic prices on steam and only included it in fine print on their own fatshark forums.
