so, i finally finished this game o-o
well, i am surprised how much content it has for a free game.
the story is amazing but ... well, sad ... peoples with a kind heart and feelings (like being able to go along with the story and feeling with the characters) will have it here and there really hard to keep the tears in their eyes. cold hearted peoples wont have any trouble with it tho ^^

so, about the gameplay~.
the fight system is really simple and easy to handle but since the game has a really good story is there a really nice balance between both of them. what i mean is: the battle system is maybe simple but the story keeps you in the game and you just want to continue and i dont mean it like that it would be a pain to push the story forward because the battle system is a bit simple. it makes fun even tho that it is simple ^^.

so yea here the good aspects of the game.
-for an rpg maker game, well made, here and there a few bugs but only IF you provoke it.
-the fight system is simple but good at the same time.
-amazing story line
-ragnarok online fans will love this game even more then peoples which dont know ragnarok online or knowing it not at all. why? if you get curious why, download the game and play it. you might notice it instant x3!
-many monsters and not simply recolored monsters. for a free game is that definitly a plus
-the boss fights are really well made. again, for a free game is this aswell stunning and a plus too!

now to the negative site, this has 1 spoiler AND ITS A SERIOUS ONE!!!! xD dont frigging hover your mouse over it if you dont want to get spoiled!!!
-the little mini bosses (the big monster versions) which giving you the legendary stones have absolutely 0 AI ... they just standing there ... they wont come after you so~ you could just standing there, regenerating MP and using phantom strike where you get 0 conter damage ^^''
the game has absolutely no happy end. there is NO GOOD ENDING! ofcourse theres a really bad ending but the other 2 endings (if you collect everything ingame and getting all chests) are not satisfying and will kill your eyes aswell. this is for me a big - point and i really hope the dev will give the sequel a happy end

so, i am done with this review. i write rarely reviews tho but, i thought this game deserved one since it is a free game and the dev team putted so much effort into it and still dont want any money for it. i would definitly pay money for the sequel!

well, i will write a review now too.
i guess i have the right to do so cause i finished the game x3 (not like others who just playing it for like 5 minutes and then saying "mehhh ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game" or giving the game just a bad review because they dont like the game at all)

first of all, this game requires a bit of scripting knowledge. if you dont have some knowledge in scripting will you have it kinda hard to finish the game because the puzzles are later here and there a bit complicated without that knowledge. this is one flaw of the game and its kinda ... a critical flaw because its not easy for peoples which never seen scripts in their life before.

on the good site: this game actually teaches you a bit "how to script" ofcourse it wont teach you everything but you get over the time a vague idea how scripts work. the sprite on your side helps you in the script rooms, he explains you how stuff might and/or could work when you change something. you cant do mistakes tho, if you make something wrong colapses the universe and resets the script, with other words: you cant really break the game. the devs found a really nice way to show how a script really works, you will see it when you go for the first time into an enemy or hacking post. (not the normal sword hacking, it goes much further with hacking when you progress xP)

the story is really well made, its funny aswell. it starts right from the beginning on x3. you get nice hacking tools and with scripting knowledge would it be possible to have really fun with all the enemys, you can completely rewrite them if you have the needed knowledge, i was amazed from what the devs made out of a game which is basicly a script puzzle.

Overall is this game really good, its a bit short tho x3 i wish it had some more enemys but i guess the mainfocus is here the story and to have fun to hack stuff, rewriting them and watching what happens ^^.

due to the big flaw that you might need some scripting knowledge will i give the game a 7/10
the big flaw is a really heavyone, i say it again, without some knowledge will you be helpless and knowing not what to do at all, what i mean is, you dont know what to change in the script to progress further. its a bit frustrating but it makes you more happy when ya found it out but then stand ya infront of an even bigger complicating puzzle

this game is really challenging for ppls who never seen a script or how they work. but yea =P some ppls like challenges right?

omg O3O i totally love this game =D
the best thing is the levels arent finished quick ya play in one stage like 10~30 minutes if you trying to get all the stuff <3

the music is awesome asweeeeeeeeel >w< gosh i love the music.
the game has only one flaw and that is that it is a little bit tricky when you trying to jump directly from the edge. happens often that ya just fall xD BUUUUT this game is the money worth. waiting for a sale is not needed >w< it has multible characters too, a nice story, nice character animations EVEN the caracters having voice ingame when ya fight against boss enemys like when you fight nearly perfect said the char "come on try to hit me" or you cant hit me and other stuff like giggling etc. its asweome >w< sometimes tricky and a bit hard too BUT a game without competive bossfights (sometimes) is not a game =3

and yes blabla i didnt played the game not much yet but it makes totally fun and if i wouldnt have hungry right now hadnt i stopped playing at all x3

well, i am not done yet with this game but, it really got me into it =3
peoples which love this kind of games and like it to get into the character, feeling with the characters etc. will really love this game.

its full of choices and ... sometimes have you to make really really hard decissions. i could name now some examples but that would spoil some stuff. the game gets really onto you and ... i guess when others would watching you playing this game and you choose everytime really honest what you would do would it show for them how you might act in real life aswell in certain situations.

well that is the really good and amazing part, the devs did a good job here. they show really good how life can go worse or ... maybe runs good.

but now the flaws.
-there are ... sometimes some grammar mistakes like ... a missing letter (well its most of the time a missing letter) it happens not often but its there, well no game is perfect~ x3

-there was a situation where my character asked a girl "are you gay?" and the girl responded with "no" .... uhm ^^ ok? so she likes girls? idk but she had suddenly a crush on me so uh yea. but i guess that was my fault cause i choosen at the beginning a different character pair and changed my mind. maybe i messed something up xD

-sometimes know you not what to do at all .... and ... you run without a goal arround. if you dont know that you can skip some daytime on the couch are you screwed xD

so~ overall (even if not yet finished but i will finish it for sure cause the story really catched me ^^) give i the game a first impression of 8/10 =3 (just 2 points - cause of the few flaws but yea ... no game is perfect =3)

nya Better then Terraria x3
The game is great and has tons of content. the music is awesome aswell.
randomness everywhere, no planet is the same *w* different trees, different monsters everything different ^^.
the game gets harder and harder with every Tier aswell x3

but remember its an Early Beta
you should read first on the Starbound site how the Beta works (it has 3 stages x3)

the devs really care about bugs n stuff which is a huge + from me =3

Good sound aswell

starbound is a most have for everyone who played Terraria in the Past <3
