You can do almost anything in Stellaris.

You wanna be a psychic communist space mushroom? You can do that.
You wanna play as a feudal lord and control dozens of puppet states? You can do that.
You wanna commit indescribable war crimes? You can do that.

I once accidentally caused a communist revolution in a society of gas clouds.

10/10 would recommend.
