Seems like the devs are getting into a "hold my beer" contest lately, constantly rotating in and out game types (solo ranked, duos, trios) and then being surprised that the player count is going down, instead of up like they envisioned?
I launch the game only to find out my game type is not in rotation this week, month or whatever and have to close it.
I don't even know how to comment on this anymore :D
GG!

It's a game from 2019 and you CANNOT rebind ANY keys. Once again I refuse to tolerate devs that think they know better and are hardcoding key binds in their products.

A good follow up to the great first title, however it's definitely worse than the original (not that it's bad... it's just not as great)
There isn't a huge change, besides two new vehicles and the fact that you spend a bit more time on land than before.

Game was very stable, didn't get a single crash. I can only attest to two bugs:
1. Once I had to restart the game as I couldn't scan a key "object", so I was stuck story-wise
2. I didn't get last two achievements for completing the game (I really don't care about
achievements, but I know people are completionists, so I wanted to let you guys know).

Besides that it plays pretty much like the original Subnautica. You build bases, craft, and discover the ocean's secrets on a frozen planet.
I'm fairly certain the game itself is smaller in scale and it's shorter. The fauna doesn't pose nearly as much threat as it did in the previous game and the locations are more boring than before.

That said - I had a blast playing it over the weekend (took me almost two full days to finish) and I can definitely recommend this title.

Have fun and good luck :)

Can't recommend if you like to rebind keys. Some, like "open/use" are hardcoded. Even if I edit the config manually I still can't get it to work properly.
Can't play without this being patched. Will re-review if patched soon, if not - I'll return the game.

Absolute horrid performance.
With 1080 (x2 with SLI), 32 GBs of RAM and 7700k I cannot get a stable 60 FPS on any 4k, 2k or 1080, doesn't matter how high or how low I set the graphic details.
Whenever you move your camera the game "loads" and FPS tank. Even during cutscenes/loading screens it sometimes went to 1-2 FPS! Seems like a lot of people are experiencing the same.
Unplayable at this point, I'm returning and getting my money back.
Stay clear.

It's 2020 and you can't rebind half of the keys. I repeat, you cannot customize MOVEMENT keys in a VIDEO GAME.
I don't play WASD, never have, never will. F%$# any developer that hardbinds keys and thinks they know better. You can rebind walking to other keys, but not riding a bike, because of course you can't.

I can't really recommend this game, unless it's on deeeeep sale. Especially for fans of the franchise.
The "original" one from 2016 was way better.

Pros:
-Music! :)
-Controls
-Gunplay

Cons:
-A metric fu*kton of invisible walls. This sucks big time, as the game seems to promote verticality and exploration, yet kills you every 15 seconds with invisible walls EVERYWHERE
-Platforming. I mean... what? Really? I knew from the gameplay videos there's gonna be some platforming, but this is ridiculous. I've been playing this for a couple hours only, but I feel like I'm playing Tomb Raider FPS, rather than Doom
-Overall chaos. I liked the flow Doom 2016 had with its fights. Here it's just too chaotic and uncoordinated. I'm playing on the 3rd difficulty level (forgot what it's called) and I can't say it's difficult, just confusing.

It's not a horrible game by any means. It's just a bad Doom game.

A fun game, however it's definitely missing a coop feature.
But yeah - worth playing anyways.

A nice little puzzle box game. Definitely worth 5 this silly money.

A decent take on a puzzle game. I wouldn't really compare it all that much to Myst (although the estetics would make you think otherwise), mainly because this game is not only environmental puzzles that you solve on the spot, but there are also a ton of items that you have to use, sometimese multiple times in multiple locations.
So first of all - if you want a story or a plot out of this game - walk away now. The story is almost non-existant and the ending was one of the most laughable and dissapointing "choose A or B" garbage, that made little to no sense.
That said - despite this I really recommend the game itself.
- the puzzles were refreshing (the game allows you to make sketches of things you see and even put little notes on them, however I still used good old pen and paper, to do my own notes and sketches)
- I loved that little mechanic that would highlight elements of the scenery that are interactable, saving you from pointless pixel hunting
- the graphics were nice,
- you can obviously rebind your keys (I'm looking at you Obduction!), run, jump, etc.
- no lengthy animations (except for one), loading screens, or any other time-wasters.
