This game is slightly funny as an idea and it is cool that you actually are in a place from the game Shadow warrior. It is also easy to get 100% achievements. However, the gameplay isn't fun and a corky idea can't hold up a game alone.

I only had this version on to get the cards. This review is for the definitive version

This game is a beautiful and fluent platformer. The gameplay is varied with a small portion of RPG in it in the sense that you level up. The controllers work great! The jumping becomes harder the further you go and it adds stuff on the way to keep the game from getting stale. The story is cute and might make you cry. The music is absolutely brilliant and even though no one speaks you get their full range of emotions from body language and facial expressions alone.

The only downside of this game is that you can’t play it on Linux or any good console.

This game is good. It is however not nearly as good as RE 4, RE5, Resident evil revelations 1 and 2 nor is it as good as any of the remakes. It is however good.

It starts of way too hard and it seems to be because they want you to “level up” before you play i on normal or harder. After that the game goes up and down like crazy in how good it is. Chris’s story is the worst since it’s just an actionpacked mess. Leons is enjoyable for sure as well as Jakes. Adas start of pretty cool but just ends up being in the background of all the rest of the story with a anticlimactic ending for sure.

Because the game is divided into 4 simultaneous stories it does come of as repetitive. No enemy feel special since they overuse all of them to get as much action as possible. No scary slow moments.

If you’re like me and just adore the series than you should totally get this. Otherwise there are so many other RE games that just tops this on.

I’m a Kickstarter backer so obviously my expectations were High.

This game starts of good with awesome design and graphics. It feels great to control as well and the achievements are good. The levels are a tad too long however. I would of liked it more if they made them shorter but added a level on each season.

The weapon is a crossbow with different ammo. The shots are cool and are used in different occasions.

The boss fights are classic… a bit too classic maybe. They feel slightly uninteresting and I think it’s because it’s too easy to see the pattern. They come of as robotic.

The one BIG flaw with this game is the constant backtracking. The game design is not metroidvania like but still they added the necessity to replay levels. This, like many have said before me, kills the game.

This review is a harsh one. I will not recommend it but i didn’t regret my purchase.

There is good parts of the game. I liked the development tree. I am a big fan och the dungeon keepers stile, theme and gameplay. The graphics and design is fine. I love the unicorns for example. Unfortunately they are just background.

The game does so many things wrong it’s almost weird that I still enjoyed my time with it. Firstly. The traps are almost useless since the best strategy (like a normal RTS) is to just get as many strong units as possible as fast as possible and attack. The base building is so not interesting. This is a huge flaw since that was the major thing with Dungeon Keepers (I know it’s not the same series but who didn’t buy this because they liked DK). The units are not interesting and just feels like paper cutouts. Nothing unique about them. What I’m saying is that this game is for “normal RTS players not for base building players.

The story is ok. The humor is a bit too childish for my taste and they are jokes that me and my friends pulled as middle graders and maybe in early high school.

The main character this time is a dark elf. She is oversexualiced. Not just with her clothes, which I think would be ok if she gradually became more “sexy/slutty” as she turned more evil. This because there is old lore about evil being sexual and sexually tempting. No the problem I had was how it all felt like a sex-fantasy with her being evil on the inside and you turned “daddys little girl” to this evil creature. First against her will with magic, but she actually liked it even though she said no and all that. To me it was off putting. What I did like about the story was how they did do a small twist and questioned how good the “good religions” actually are.

I am a sucker for more or less any strategy or tactics game so I had fun. There is however better RTS games out there like Battle realms, age of series and command and conquer.

I got this game through a bundle.I have not played the previous games. You should not play it without the other 3 in the series.

As a point and click game the focus is, and need to be, the characters, story and puzzles.

The characters are portrayed in a way that expects you to already know them. For me who has not played the previous three, the main character came of as a moronic douchebag without thought for anyone else. Which takes away from the ending. The others I just felt like I should know them but didn’t

The story is just one big middle finger to the fans of the series that complained about the ending in the third game. I haven’t played the other games as said before but it was clear even for me. That makes it shallow and uninteresting as all hell. I didn’t find the humor very funny but did laugh out loud ones.

The puzzles! The puzzles are mostly really good and logical. I got stomped at times but almost always slowly moved forward when that happened. Usually you will come up with the answer just by talking to people around. It is not without its stupid puzzles however. Like at one point when you have to press a thing three times before he takes it. What? That's not a puzzle, that is a “let’s just see them get desperate and try clicking things more than ones for no reason”.

If you liked the original game and feel an itch for more, this is the DLC for you. Now this time around it’s way more focused on combat. The gameplay is more or less everything in this game since the story is mediocre at best. It didn’t catch my interest one bit and the levels becomes stagnated as you replay every part three times. The characters here are Alan, his evil twin and three women. The women are weirdly sexualist in a uncalled and distracting way. Just Why? The actor playing Alan Wake does a great job portraying the evil twin. Look at all the televisions.

The gameplay is fun however and the arcade mode is good. I wished however that they made more levels instead of putting them on repeat on a “Nightmare” mode just to make the arcade part feel longer. I wanted to play the arcade mode more but felt put off by the repetition.

Again, if you liked the gameplay in the original then go for it. If you only played Alan Wake for the story you can skip this one.

I bought this DLC because I love to play as two characters in a game when you're usually just one... not worth it. The character difference in this game is to minor to warrant a purchase of more.

Personally I think this should be a free update. Splitting the player base with different cards is not cool. It is however more cards and it does give some variation to the game so buying it on sale could be worth it if you like the game to start with.
