A great game that I love and miss keeps pushing players away. Now with Pay-To-Win "time savers". The hours I played to get the money, ships and equipment now means little to someone with the expendable income to ♥♥♥♥ all over what I spent years perfecting.

Great game, Loads of fun!

Initial Impression:
The game seems to automatically select "Fantastic Graphics" even on a lower end machine. While not a show stopper is was a mild laggy annoyance at first. Another stop on my journey into the game lead me to the Loading Screen. It gives the user no visual feedback that its not frozen besides the background music and ability to move the cursor. While in itself is not too bad, my first load into the game did take almost 8 minutes, all while I contemplated if the game was actually still loading. This seems to persist into loading save games which seems to take me 2-3 minutes.

After Three Hours:
While it seems like the initial impression was not the most glamorous, once I got in I fell in love. Working my way through the click grind that is the beginning leading to the hiring of employees and the introduction of the glorious micromanagement of a management game. Making or breaking friendships to get an edge on the market, blackmailing rivals to solidify your grip, and the pain you feel when your best dealer get picked up by the police right after you dropped a few grand on a new grow leaving you with no money to bribe his was to freedom.

The game is forgiving sometimes and ruthless for others.

Wow, Take Two has made the decision to take away the only aspect that has kept a good majority of this userbase active. I hope they will reverse this war against single player modders...

Well, here it goes, a game that promised no microtransactions and now I get to pay for "DLC" tents and blinds in a game that is so unpolished that I crash 1/10 times I attempt to use a rifle scope...

Per my previous remarks, the free lake has been released and obtaining a negative balance no longer forces you to pay real world money to access game-play.

If you make a mistake and get fined for not having a license, you will have to grind on the free lake to gain access to the "pay" lakes.

Love this game and love the devotion to excellence that they put into it.

Let me start off by saying, I really enjoyed this game. I think it has great potential, but some mechanics push players away.

Now, My reasoning for a negative review.
All licenses are based off of real time and not in game days!

So, back around Christmas I was licensed to catch Perch and something came up so I logged off, I then came back about three weeks later and caught a fish and found my license goes by real world days even if you are in the middle of the same in-game day. Now I have been fined -$1476 and unable to play without dropping $10 or only signing in to collect daily rewards until the negative balance is resolved...
