A continuation of Banner Saga, this game picks up where the first ends and immediately continues the story with new and higher stakes.
Banner Saga 2 introduces a few more mechanics, mostly in the fighting, and takes more risks with the story telling.
Just as Banner Saga, this game has amazing art and story, which can just be expected for all 3 games.
The choices made here having even more far reaching effects and will permanently alter the path of the game and the characters in it.
Otherwise, it is more amazing story, amazing art, and great combat.

An absolutely artful, story filled, beautiful, and amazingly built start to a series.
The characters are fantastically written and every one has meaning, giving great and terrible choices for the player to make.
The combat is satisfying and will require careful planning to make it out of many of the later fights, else you can lose characters.
Despite coming out in 2014, the art and gameplay still feel good and given the aesthetic, its unlikely to ever look dated. The tech does exactly what it needs to tell an amazing story with a climactic ending.

A very somber game that starts bloody and ends bloody.
The main draw I found was the very well done character growth and competence along with the Traumatic Found Family aspect that shows it's head very early in the game.
The stealth is well done and allowing enough leeway to not need a dozen restarts, but your character is exclusively one shot by major threats you can sink into a cycle of the same oops over and over again that gets you killed.
The puzzle aspect is very creative and the rat system itself is extremely robust and interactive.

I recommend it if you're looking for a 10-12 hour game.

Hired Gun is the sort of unpolished eurojank that is pure bad-for-you candy.
The mechanics are bonkers, they stuffed everything they could into one character and handed them every gun possible.
You got your big guns, your slightly not as big guns, your time power, your dash power, your grappling hook, wall running, tracking laser beams, grenades, a big knife, some small knives, a big pointy dog.
Your character is objectively the pointiest thing in the Underhive and half of the glory kills are turning other people into pointy thing holders.

Overall, its a fine game. Not great, get it on sale and you can beat it in a few sittings. Just don't go in expecting the world and you'll have fun with it.

Overall, a very good tactical game.

XCOM 2 is a bit more rushed than XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Many missions have turn limits that force you to move your units rapidly across the field. This can trigger alot of enemy groups at once and in general be a pain during play, but does force you to be careful with your movements.
Alien Rulers are Absolutely awful to deal with, getting a turn for every movement your units do, which feels unfair and can wipe a squad if you're dealing with standard enemies.
The Chosen, a more recent addition to the game with the expansion, are much more feasible to fight even on the back foot, as they move in a similar fashion to regular enemy units with more actions and more far reaching abilities.

The macro is the inverse of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, you have a single spot on the globe and are required to make contact with the surrounding areas and build a resistance network to progress the game. Supplies and other drops are gained via scanning at map locations.

Soldiers are immensely customizable in looks and each gets a class, upgrading a training opens up alot of interesting abilities.

Fantastic story that completely turns Kratos into a different person and brings back basically every trauma he has experienced ever but now he has a son.
The combat flows extremely well especially when you realize that you have a heavy and a light throw. You can build Kratos however you want between the weapons, abilities, and armors.
Also, one of the few games where collectibles aren't a complete pain to acquire and feel sufficiently rewarding to seek them out.

Very beautiful and short game with an impressive control scheme and movement.

Do you wanna experience the pain of being in a water logged submarine, monsters chewing through the door, your crew stranded or dead, and a clown standing behind you slowly raising a bike horn, the last semi peaceful noise you hear being the short honk of said bike horn before the eldritch terrors bust down the door?
Of course you do, get this game.

An amazingly strange game, unlike most modern games and emphasizes exploration along with movement.

Good game by a good company.
Great gameplay loop of running and gunning while collecting loads of loot.
