Lots of content to explore and a decent progression system. Even better with friends.

It's Battletech. If you like Battletech, mod it and play it. If you don't... it might be a little complicated for people who aren't into Mechwarrior or other Wargames.

I was gifted this and never really played this... but... yeah... censorship is bad, M'Kay?

Probably one of the best games available for VR.

May also help you get fit, but that depends on you... I guess.

Over-hyped and under-cooked.

It's an ok game, I guess... and the graphics can be REALLY good... sometimes, but you can tell by playing that there was meant to be another year of development and the game was rushed out. It's been out a year and there are still occasional graphical glitches (a cut scene of a street, with all the citizens happily T-posing their way along it or multiple civilians spawning in the same spot). There's also an oddity in that you can only get a small selection of all the fancy cyber-punk clothes that you see on all the NPCs. 95% of the cool stuff in reserved for NPC only, which strikes me as a real waste of assets, considering they're already in-game. Oh, and you get locked into a section of the city for the first section of the game. If you head towards another part of town, the game just turns you round, telling you not to go there... which really bugged the explorer in me.

There are some interesting mods... including one for VR, but this isn't really the place for that.

7/10 - Buy it when it's on sale.

Depending on your headset this game may refuse to work without some serious modding. With an Index you can't play past the movement tutorial... from what I've read, the game's gravity is tied to its FPS, so if you play it on the Index the game will freak out as soon as you enter the world. This is kinda amusing the first few times, as your body get stretched across the map and the carts heading to Helgen cartwheel off over the horizon, but I've yet to be able to get into the town in a dozen attempts. The nearest I ever got was wedged head-first into the gate... which then refused to open.

One day I might mod this horrible mess and be able to play... but there are other games out there that require less effort.

A classy little physics puzzler, probably up there with the Portal games.

In my opinion.

Which counts for very little.

Early Access Review
A really fun and satisfying little game, but short, oh so short. Hopefully they'll add some more end-game stuff to stretch the game out a bit.

The game can seem to be a bit difficult to get into, but once you realise that all the money is in being an swine to pesants and stealing all their stuff, the game becomes much more accessible!

Steam has me down as having played this for 8.3 hours. I'd maxed out all the skills for Minmatar hybrid (projectile/missile/drone) Battleships before I quit, so I guess I wasn't running the client through Steam back then.

The game is deep and hard to get into, largely down to the way skill training works (or worked). If you can get into a decent Corp, the fleet actions and industrial espionage seem to be where the fun is at, but you can also be on the other side and lose everything in seconds, without any real way to defend against it.

I quit many years ago and haven't been tempted to return. They turned the Hybrid weapon-system ships that I like into missile boats, then the people who complained in the forums were told by an Eve staff member that we didn't know what we were talking about. I'm still holding good to my threat to quit over that.

Put simply... it just takes too long to get into the good content and there are just better MMO out there nowadays.
