Development
I am a solo amateur game developer using c/c++ to write opengl based games.
I have a background in application development in the manufacturing industry which I've since retired from, I now follow my passion and hobby of game development.

I Code everything myself, I use no 3rd party engine or source code beyond things like sdl 2 or openal.

Fairspace
A large scale 6 year project producing an epic space combat and exploration game, Originally written as an MMO and then migrated to single player once the servers died.
Learned allot about opengl / shaders and matrices during this development.

GalaxIverse
I wrote galaxiverse as a filler whilst waiting for feedback in Fairspace, it uses allot of the same graphics in a 2d sprite form and is just a straight forwards shootemup.

Nova Wing I, Nova Wing II, Nova Wing III
I enjoyed writing Galaxiverse so much with it being a short development cycle that i decided to write a series of space based shootemups.
Each one is different but all of them support Lan based coop play.
Nova wing 3 used a marching squares algorithm to deal with destructible environments.

Merv Reborn
I originally wrote Merv with a friend back in the 80's using assembly language, I just wanted to resurrect an old favoured project.
I developed a 2d bone animation system to improve the sprite rendering for this game.

Merv Liberation
I took the marching squares algorithm from nova III and mashed in some gravity this created a destructible environment with soil, water, ice and lava.
with various tools and puzzles based around it. Really enjoyed the different game mechanics in this one.

Warlocks Entanglement
Warlocks is massively different from all my previous games, I started off by writing my own solid modeller and bone system using PBR lighting.
I begun to experiment with marching cubes which lead me onto voxels, before i knew it I was running around a perlin landscape chopping down trees and fighting giant spiders.
Warlocks is a first person survival game built around procedural landscapes, towns and underground cities.
I was particularly happy with the multi threaded AI system.

Krimzon Hoard
Taking the warlocks engine and going in another direction with improved lighting and shadow mapping. A better world generator using preconfigured components and connections. This is a wave based game for testing your gun skills.

Warlocks Quarry
A prelude to Warlocks Entanglement, A free version (you can call it a demo) it is however a fully playable game in every regard.

Warlocks Deeds
A continuation of the warlocks series, Largely rewritten to support multi player and upgraded to 64 Bit.
And various other enhancements.

GalaxiVerse II
As a short break from warlocks deeds, i will be writing another space based multiplayer shootemup, This is planed as a state based game so that networking is minimal whilst action is maximal. This is a filler whilst I plan the next large updates for warlocks.
