As you can see by the hours I've sunk into this game, I believe this series is absolutely worth the time and money. Even if you aren't a fan of the Battletech franchise, or have been burned by things like Mechwarrior Online, give this a chance. There is an amazing modding community who have added so many extra things that easily extend the life of this game by leaps and bounds.

I quite like this game. Arcade-y feel space combat coupled with some planet exploration and wrecked ship exploring. What I have been the most impressed by so far is the support from the developer. Many suggestions that have been made both by myself and others who have played have been taken into account, and even implemented. A lot has been added/changed/fixed since it was released on June 11th, and all for the better. At time of review, the game is only ten bucks. Absolutely worth the price. I've paid 5x that for games that were half as fun, and many, many times more buggy with indifferent developers. If you like this style of game, you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to give it a go.

Wanted to like it, but it's buggy as hell and ugly to boot. Quests are broken, NPCs are glitchy, as are the enemies. Interesting premise for when it came out, but so many other games do something similar and much, much more playable. Do yourself a favor and give this one a pass.

It's just... Nothing. Not fun, not pretty, no nothing. Avoid.

Loved it. There were a couple bugs, but for the most part it's worth every penny. It's rare when you spend so much time in a game, to finish, only to have that momentarily bereft feeling. A++

As you can see from the hours I've sunk into the game thus far, I have quite enjoyed this title. Through all stages of the development, the creative team behind this gem have been responsive, quick to update, and very open with letting the community know whats next.

The game itself -
This is, quite frankly, as close to a space orgasm as there is. I'm a sci-fi kind of guy, and this scratches all the itches. From glorious ship-to-ship combat, to boarding an enemy vessel to murder the crew and try to hijack it. The game is a bit too fluid to really nail down a pros and cons list, let me just say this;
If you like science fiction, do yourself a favor and buy this. Full price, or on sale, it doesn't matter.
