I want to be able to recommend this game. I really do. But in my 30 hours of playing it there is only one way to sum up my experience. "It's almost fun"

No doubt NMS has come a LONG way from its launch and now features a ton of improvments and new content. But all of it is just.. it's just flawed just enough to stop it from being fun. It keeps you playing because you think you're gonna get to the fun bit soon but it never comes.

There is just too many fiddly bits. Like how tedious it is to unlock new inventory slots or to repair shipwrekcs or just needing to craft something but it needs one varient of the same exact material you have, just not the varient you have currently. Like why is there three versions of the same item? Seemingly just because.

Just because also seems to be the reason you have to find and repair drop pods or go to new stations to unlock a singular slot in your backpack. You can't buy multiple slots at the same shop, you have to find a new station. Which means warping to a new system. But you probably won't find the fuel for it anywhere on the space station. Why? Because. So you gotta go planetside and find the materials, while constantly refilling your life support and protection which get gobbled up faster than a chocolate in a gradeschool classroom. Then you have to go through multiple crafting steps and you get.. 1/5th your tank worth of fuel. so after doing 15 crafts just to top off your tank you gotta get back off planet, which, if you've moved around a lot on the planet you gotta also craft fuel to power your launch thrusters.. and a different fuel for your pulse engines to move quickly from planet to planet if you wanna explore. A large quantity of those planets? Dead or otherwise empty.

But you keep doing it, because it's almost fun. It's almost fun unlocking new technology by going around digging up data caches. It's almost fun fighting off space pirates. It's almost fun, so close to fun, but it's not. It's just not fun.

Would I recommend this? Hell yes. It's very much Dark Souls 3 + hot anime waifus. What more does anyone need?

While rough around some edges and requiring an hours or so to really 'click' Greedfall manages to be a worthwhile RPG to play with an interesting world and most surprisingly of all an effective side quest system that actually impacts main quests while completely avoiding the usual fetch and escort quest fillers that most RPGS have. While not every quest will have major impact most will have some impact on another be it opening up opportunities you wouldn't have otherwise had or being the key factor for you getting what you want. The art design manages to be interesting where it needs to be and the music has a number of tracks that feel like they belong side other easily identifiable RPG musical scores.

Overall while not exactly the Witcher 3, still a far cut above most entries in the Genre and a surprise from a relatively unknown studio. You are unlikely to regret the time spent with this game.

Firearms are really OP however. Sure Ammo isn't abundant at first but once you start being able to craft it you can usually decimate stuff with firearms.

A short game with an interesting premise that unfortunately falls far short of doing any justice to either the idea or player engagement.

Lust for Darkness, if one were to try and sum it up, is best described as "well what Lovecraft was sexy? and also like.. 25% giger?" and the tried to answer that without really going to much into it.

Your plot consists of an abducted wife, a scared husband, a cult, a mansion, and portals to a dimension of pure lust that.. more or less is a combo of generic "eldrich horror" vines and brambles, a few statues, and the occasional dead bodies made by lust demons that want to kill you.. because I guess that's what lust demons do, not anything.. lusty. There is the idea that the statues are actually cultists or other visitors that were permantly transformed into these warped sexual iconography but.. that also doesn't really seem very lusty? Not really experiencing eternal lust as.. an unmoving statue of a woman with 16 tits wrapped in immoble tentacles or just a random woman plugged into the wall via pipes that isn't moving but is sure bleeding a lot. People seem to be more dead than horny in this dimension.

And thing is you could do a lot with the idea, some of the visuals are going the right direction but for the most part its just randomly placed, more tortured looking than pleasured souls that occasionally have someone banging right next to them because...? What's the draw there? "gosh darn it Charles over there looks like he had a great time getting it up the rear until the thing came out his chest and bit his head off so lets pound it out 5 feet away from his body?"

The game tries so hard to present lore and a mythos and then just.. drops the ball on the execution. Nothng makes sense. Not even in a "Well it makes sense to them because they are insane cultists" kinda way. Also your character apparently either starts to go insane looking at naked bodies or he really has some blood pressure problems from getting aroused, I can't tell, the effects are the same.

The developers of this game also did Agony and.. honestly it has a lot of the same problems as that game. You just walk around, solve a couple of easy puzzles, occasionaly run from something that wants to kill you for.. some reason? and then finish the game. They never really delve into any maddening imagry or capitalize on what great material they have they just.. show ♥♥♥♥♥ and boobs and occasionally something that kinda look slike a vagina on a statue or something. The plots of both game demand so much more than the occasional nipple or soft penis.

A very short 2-3 hour experience of surreal giger-esq artwork and creepy locals and puzzles. I liked it quite a bit but just be aware that, as the game indicates in it's opening moments, the work is heavily influenced by he moral philosphy of Immanuel Kant.

A pretty short and straightforward story but with clicker game mechanics attached. Probably will take you less than an hour to beat and it doesn't have a lot too it but it's still sorta charming in a wierd way?

Would be a great game.. if the grab detection wasn't garbage.

Seriously, hand can be right on or even IN something, grab does nothing. You flail trying to grab something right there and get shot in the mouth. Othe rtimes hand can be five feet away from somethig.. teleports into your hand and the action jumps forward sharply to compensate. Trying to use the double hand mind burst? Weapon flying through air can randomly tp into your hand breaking it. It's amazing how OFF the detection on grabbing can be.

Combined with this the core concept of the game, that time only moves when you move, is incorrect. time MOSTLY only moves when you move. It can and will jump forward rapidly the second an enemy fires a shotgun. Or when you grab something a short distance from your hand. Or just sometimes for the lulz.

I know this game is HIGHLY rated by my experience with it has been fun but also frustrating and not because it's difficult. It's always obvious what to do. Sometimes the game just decides to screw with you and you get to restart a whole section for no reason. I can't rate it 3 stars, so sadly I have to put it at no recommended.

It's a pretty okay game.
I wish I could give it a stronger review than that, but it's not really good nor is it really bad.
But you could do worse for a game in this kind of Genre, and its a decent way to kill some time.

As this game enters it's final days. Let us all remember how it wasn't a bad game, just a game that had too rough a start to survive in a enviroment that kills and devours MMO's without mercy. They did their best to overcome the initial problems of it being too hard but ultimately lost out when most the guilds that came from WoW to help with the beta, went back to WoW when the super hard game they asked for, was to hard for them.

They thought they wanted it, but they didn't

And that difficulty pushed away so many others and it just never recovered. It was a great game with a great combat system. An amazing personal housing system. A wounderful art style, customizable mounts, hoverboards, and sexy robots.

If only things had been different. You deserved to succeed Wildstar, despite what others might say.
