I know that (a lot of) people have problems with running the PC port smoothly, even if the fan-made patch was applied, but I did not face these difficulties, so I dare to not let this affect my review. I admit that it is unforgivable to have fans fix issues with the game, but the (fixed) game was so breathtaking, I am willing to forgive this.

Story-wise this is probably the best game I have ever played so far. A complex plot with enganging characters you grow to love so much. Almost every cutscene gave me goosebumps and overwhelmed me with emotions, as did the ending(s).

I'm not much of a graphic fanatic, so I rarely ever care about it, but in some scenes, you just had to appreciate the beautiful scenery. Overall, it was quite pretty as well.

A really strong point of this game is the diversity in gameplay. Most of the time, it's a typical hack & slash RPG (which I'm totally a fan of), but you also get some well-made shoot 'em up sequences as well as a hacking minigame. The different playable characters also have different fighting styles. It makes fighting never boring.

The most rememberable part of the game (at least to me) is the music, though. The soundtrack was absolutely beautiful. It suited the scenes perfectly and really pulled at your heartstrings at some moments (dat ending title). The voice-acting is extremely well done, too. Personally, I friggin' loved the Japanese voices.

Overall, I am very very satisfied with the game and can really recommend it (as long as you can forgive the aforementioned performance issue), even at full price. The DLC is a sweet extra, but not really necessary. In fact, only the new outfit for A2 was actually an improvement, imo. The rest was just eye-candy.

On a last note, the multiple language support is a huge plus as well, especially when you can finally utilize your Japanese knowledge in a game for once!!
