Trip Report:

1 Hour - Cool nice asset flip bro
2 Hours - Okay it's fine, but meh
3 Hours - Hmm... the combat is kinda fun actually
4 Hours - This skill tree is way bigger than I thought and even my stupid fairy has skills and powers too? What?
5 Hours - I keep finding hidden secrets all over the place and it's obvious the developers put a ton of time and effort into crafting this entire experience. While it may be jank, there's a lot of heart and soul here and I am enjoying myself more and more every time I play.
6 Hours - Oops I have to go to work tomorrow

From the pile of corpses that all use the same asset pack, this game has risen to become king of them all. When I see these primitive poliginal models I don't think of Going Medieval, I don't think of Soulstone Survivors, I think of... what's this game called again? Surroundead! Yes Surroundead. It's the best!

No. I can't even deal with this game getting bad reviews. It's not what we need right now, we don't need this negativity. A game like this should be lauded for it's imagination and innovation, not slammed because it crashes and has low fps. Its a PC game from an indie dev that costs $25 so suck it up if it doesn't run perfectly. It's a FPS tower defense game WITH A GRID INVENTORY!!! HOW IS THAT NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU PEOPLE!?! I'm more than okay living with the realities of modern PC gaming and all the frame stuttering and whatever these guys do to the Unreal Engine to make it crap the bed so many times - because a game like this is why I even play games in the first place. Sweet lord if you like FPS/RTS/Awesomeness just give it a try and if you hate it get a refund and move on.

So many the entitled babies leaving negative reviews because a cosmetics DLC was released before 1.0 - yet nobody mentions the insane amount of content that has been added to the game during it's EA period, the huge QoL updates, mechanics, and game systems. What is wrong with you people!?!? I hate being a gamer.

I really hope the developers of Palworld can enjoy their success. It makes me sick to see all the "controversy" to either be overblown or just outright lies. Do your own research but don't let the bad press stop you if you are interested in trying this game.

This game feels good to play, feels good to slice up enemies, feels good to ride that cyber bike. I don't feel good too often but this game makes me feel good. Thank you.

Listen, I do a daily search for "Open World Survival Craft" on Steam. I have multiple alerts that will wake me up in the middle of the night whenever a title tagged with "crafting" or "base building" or "fiber harvesting" appears on this godforsaken platform. I play them all. I return most. At the 1.8 hour mark I pull the e-brake and reassess not only my bank account but if I'm actually having fun or not. So let me tell you without any equivocation whatsoever that this game is FUN. Sure it has the most boilerplate list of features for this genre - but it also has that something *special* that only 1 out of every 100 indie games has. I can't tell you why, I don't understand why, but it just does.

I bought this for my 2 nephews - both are huge Sonic fans. The game is so poorly optimized for co-op it's a joke. The camera doesn't zoom out when player 1 and player 2 are getting further and further apart, which is a standard feature of most co-op platformers these days. It just makes P2 teleport back to P1, which then results in P2 constantly lagging behind. But what really got me was upon beating Act 2 there was suddenly an "Act Sonic" and the game literally forces you to play solo as Sonic for that level, with player 2 disabled, during a co-op game. Unbelievable!
