There are sequels and then there are sequels.

If you are expecting a "safe" sequel that takes the same formular of the previous game and only slightly iterates and perfects it, you will be somewhat dissappointed like some of the reviews here.
For some games like Ori and its sequel that approach works wonderfully and I honestly wished nothing more for DD2 in the beginning.

But if you come into this game a little more open minded and expect only the iconic art / music / voicelines and of course the same developers of the first game, you are probably going to find a game that offers many many hours of entertainment.
