Good ARPG to spend your time with when you've gotten your fill of Diablo, Path of Exile and Grim Dawn.

Probably closest to Grim Dawn, as it has more build/playstyle variety than Diablo and less complexity and build options than Path of Exile.

Played over 300 hours and still no closer to finding the Ark.

Would let game title bamboozle me again. 11/10.

Easily in the top five of best ARPGs on the market.

Normally I'd explain why, but your time would be better spent looking up interesting builds online while your download is running.

Probably my favorite top-down tower defense game. What I like most about it is the fact that unlike most tower defense games, there's "loot" to be obtained as part of progression in addition to the usual experience, currency, trap unlocks and masteries.

This loot includes various items (which have rarity tiers) designed to augment your traps and abilities as well as apply modifiers to the maps/levels themselves. This allows your build to include more than just the loadout of traps and abilities to bring, but to also use the prefix/suffixes on items you collect to amplify the power of those traps and abilities even further by essentially equipping "gear" on them. Makes for some very engaging experimentation and theory crafting. The inventory management includes the ability to disenchant or transmute items that you no longer need so you can craft other items.

There's a good variety of enemies and map modifiers to keep things challenging and generally prevent the player from simply stacking all their resources into a single trap or damage type.

Replaying levels and/or using the endless mode for the levels allow you to "farm" currency, experience and loot proportional to how well you do on the level. You can use this to "grind" and strengthen your build so you can move on to the more difficult levels, which in a lot of ways is quite similar to the progression model and replayability appearl of an ARPG.

In short, don't let the pixel art fool you. If you are a fan of tower defense games, you should certainly try this one out.

Very fun top down move-to-take-a-turn rogue-like. I find the progression and loot in the game to be especially enjoyable as well as the system in place to hand down items from your deceased heroes while also collecting items to improve your Academy and the towns across the world map.

Dungeon crawling is pretty straightforward and the in-game map and combat log are simple, yet very well done.

The ability to craft powerful items and melt down the ones you don't want is a nice touch.

The flexibility in building your hero is also pretty fun to play around with and allows the player to diversify their loadout based on the desired playstyle.

In short, if the art style doesn't turn you away, there's a good chance the gameplay definitely won't.

Fun top down sci-fi survival game with tech tree based crafting, farming and base building. Can be challenging at the start to keep your food and oxygen topped off until you get the hang of things, but the progression feels smooth and it's pretty satisfying exploring the planet surface biomes and interacting with the various flora and fauna while uncovering the lore and working through the story.

Very relaxing and chill take on a worldbuilding top down crafting sandbox game with survival elements. The visual style is quite nice and vibrant.

The grind may not be for everyone and there is quite a bit of moving around collecting resources and finishing quests to drive progression. Overall it's a game I plan to come back to from time to time when I'm in a mood for worldbuilding.

One of those games that looks straightforward on the surface but the more you play the more you realize the things you can do that you would not have expected. For example you can shoot an enemy at the top of some stairs with the grappling hook and then pull them to you and watch the physics tumble them down the stairs taking damage on the way down, sometimes killing them outright. In other cases you can cast a spell to drop a tombstone on their head, or summon an angry mob of pitchfork wielding peasants to skewer them with no mercy. Not all of it may be fully implemented and balanced given the game's Early Access state, but it sure is entertaining and satisfying.

Whether it's climbing up walls, running along walls, swinging about with the grappling hook or just outright transforming into an airborne creature, traversal in the game can certainly be done with ease (yes there are mounts too).

Combat can be as interesting as you make it with a wide array of spells and abilities that you can build into your character as part of leveling up as well as some you can obtain through quests or finding books throughout the world.

As far as the gameplay loop goes, the player essentially goes about questing as part of the main story or can simply explore the various zones in the game world connected by an overland map that can be traversed (mostly like Mount & Blade). You can level up the skills to make your character more powerful in melee and/or ranged combat, but can also work on skills like fishing, blacksmithing, etc. There are elements of city building present in the game as well (mostly in progress though).

While the art-style might not appeal to everyone, from the time I've spent with the game, if it simply polishes, optimizes and balances out the foundation that's already there, it's more than worth the price.

Early Access -arvostelu
Good foundation for a game of this type given it's initial entry into Early Access. Mixes space exploration and resource scavenging/gathering/crafting in a satisfying way. I like the elements of breaking off panels to uncover structure components to be broken down into materials for crafting into gadgets as well as expanding your space rig.

Limited resources in each sector drives the player to move on and can result in some strategic planning to make sure you don't run out of critical resources such as jetpack fuel and food.

Visuals give me Astroneer vibes but the gameplay is somewhat similar to Astro Colony with the exception that you don't have a constant flow of debris flying around to be collected. Each sector for the most part has a static amount of resources.

Really looking forward to seeing how much further the POI system is developed and how much the lore/story impacts the player experience. On the POI side of things, the ship interiors could benefit from looking more like the inside of a spaceship instead of generic rooms and corridors (i.e. having a bridge, engine room, crew quarters, etc).
