Picture Astroneer mashed together with Raft. If you love either of those games this game is right up your alley.
Even if you never played either of those games but enjoy playing games that are base building and exploration, it is a great game. For early access, it is pretty polished. I am 30 hours in and am hooked. There are only 2 devs working on this as a "labor of love". Let's hope they keep that mentality, because it is great so far.

7dtd lite, but with water

Please remember that this is Early Access. That being said, for EA, it is a really well put together. If you love factory games like I do (Factorio, Satisfactory, Dyson Sphere etc) you will enjoy this. It has a rich tech tree and the devs and community are active and responsive. The Devs have published a roadmap. This by itself is promising.

If you want a chill factory/puzzle style game, you found it!
I have hundreds of hours logged and have played the base game through twice. Technically it is endless after a certain point, but w/e.
vibrant community and great mods that expand the game beyond base like "Industries" (my favorite) get it!

lots of good features and intuitive game play. Feels more like a game that is Beta headed for release. I played 4 hours right off the bat without even feeling the time pass. Recommend

This is the most fun top-down tower defense game I have played. 10/10

I have played so many survival crafting style games and all of them have been ....okay.
This game is amazing. almost 50 hours in and can't stop playing.
(EDIT: update- 879 hours in now...I think I like it :D)
This game is early access, but you wouldn't know it. Amazing graphics and research trees that are pretty mature
and the worlds are well done. Not a lot of handholding, but you also don't dead end into a "wtf do I do now" moment.
10/10 will play much more

Was looking for a tower defense game that was fun but not insanely complex. This is both, but not in a way that detracts from gameplay. You can be sure that I will be buying this when the full game comes out. I already logged 2 hours on it and I just downloaded it!

Wish I had gotten this sooner. Have definitely pre-ordered the next one. Stunning graphics, interesting gameplay and story too
