Excellent fun. So many layers in this game, with mini-games within the game. Fun storyline, with lots of different, unique characters too, make this game an enjoyable experience to play.
Even better with the Dredge DLC.

Early Access Review
Incredibly good fun, time consuming, headache-inducing, rewarding.

Totally awesome game. Lots of great, fun moments, excellent story that actually has a lot of depth to it, and such a great sense of openness with the world R* created.

Every Co-Op game should be as good as this.

So much variation in the mechanics for each section, it's like a string of unique games all perfectly stitched together to make one, seamless, and thoroughly enjoyable game. The attention to detail is also incredible.

Shame on any AAA developers who fail to make their games as well polished as this game.

Great, if short, game. You can see that this was originally aimed at being 'Portal 2' and I'm glad it still made its way to release.

Very cool concept with using perception to solve the puzzles, and even a nice little "life" message thrown in there towards the end ;-)

Before you buy this game, just be aware that it has a fundamental flaw that could ruin it for you - the CONTROLS!!!

There is a really good and enjoyable story in Beyond: Two Souls, and you can clearly see that the star casting of Elliot Page and Willem Dafoe helps bring it to life. However, as mentioned above, the controls and mechanics are so utterly stupid that it completely overshadows what is otherwise a very good game.

The controls are so bad that it almost made me stop playing the game and write it off, because you end up failing so many times as a result. The randomness of which keys to hit or actions to take means you unfairly get hit/captured/killed/etc. all the time.

All of this completely ruins the pace, theatrics and engagement in the game.

In the end, I decided to keep playing despite the hideous and unplayable controls, and I'm glad I did, because I got to see that there is a good story there that was worth the effort.

Overall, I want to say this is a game worth recommending, but I can't because the ridiculous and unforgiving control system ends up ruining the whole experience.

The fact that it's an exclusively co-op game limited to two players only, blends perfectly with the story (which is excellent), as the two players have to work in tandem for a lot of the game. It also helps to form a bond between the two players, and this also ties in with the story.

If you can, make sure you play with someone who you know very well - someone who knows how you think, and you know how they think. It will make the game a really enjoyable experience!

Another brilliant feature of this game is that only one person needs to own the game - the second player simply needs to download the 'guest' version from Origin.

Highly recommended!

Quite short, but still a full story unfolds. The visuals are incredible and such a nice change from ultra-realistic textures seen in some AAA games.

Really enjoyable.

How Assassin's Creed should be - story rich, good combat mechanics and very little interruption from the silly Abstergo scenes.

Good for nostalgic purposes, with some okay visual updated. Nice to be able to play in the original format too for an authentic feel, but as others have already commented, the controls are HIDEOUS!!

You cannot reconfigure the controls either, and all the annotations for key controls still refer to console/gamepad configuration. Very annoying when the visual reference for an action is A, B, X, Y or another gamepad button which is unrelated to the keyboard!

Otherwise, good for the price, especially as it's on sale.
