Still fun after its initial release - get all the additional DoW 1 expansions, they have new, fun races in each expansion.

20 hours of play and I decided to buy the 2 major DLC.

The game is a fun alternate to Diablo 3.

Nice character feature is supporting the attributes/attacks of a secondary character - you remain your primary pick, but at level 10 you get to pick a second character so you have access to their attributes/attacks.

The first DLC (Malmouth) is an extension of the Grim world so there is no direct jump to that part from the menus. Just play on up the roads to get to Malmouth. [the Malmouth button in the main menu is just a link to the web page to purchase. once you install Malmouth that button is gone]

Forgotten is accessed from your home town via an emissary who opens a rift to that world. Once in Forgotten you use *their* home town rift to travel to any rift in Forgotten or the main Grim Dawn - the two worlds show up on the master map - very nice.

Hint: drop a personal rift just before a major boss fight. Some bosses are some distance from the nearest world rift - you don't want a long walk to where you died by the boss. Personal rifts persist while you remain in the game.

Components power up you personal items (weapons, clothing, rings, etc). It is not intuitive how to apply a component - in your inventory RIGHT click on the component then LEFT click on the item to enhance/apply.

I bought the two DLC at 15% off.

Look for vids on youtube to see if you might like it. If you are still unsure wait for Dawn to come on sale in Steam.
