I see this game is on sale right now, I encourage anyone who wants responsive combat to pick this up.

This needs more attention now more than ever. Team ninja and Koei took on combat mechanics that innovated in ways I never thought possible. This game changes how you the player can evolve in stressful encounters, becoming more offensive with a purpose to impose your will on an enemy; that sure as ♥♥♥♥ will do the same to you in an instant. There isn't much else to say, but Nioh 2 changed the genre.

Fromsoft games simply feels stiff and passive. Which I'll always say, that Souls games have fulfilled their purpose. However, the torch has quietly been passed to Nioh 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. I cannot wait to see what these teams will do in the future. I will never uninstall Nioh 2. It's combat is that smooth, it gives perfect feedback of where you need to improve to survive, as well as how much more deadly you can become.
