I'll try to keep this short but if it ends up being long, oh well. Battlefield 2042 is a new addition to the battlefield series. While many of the reviews talk about bugs and features that are no longer present from previous games, let me break it down for you. It's a new game, set in a different year. While many others are saying it's CoD like, excuse the developers for trying something new. It'll be constant whining just like the previous titles that also received negative reviews at launch. Of course it's common to not like a game at launch but SHAME on everyone who wants the same Battlefield. It's a new year, and a new game. Stop complaining and actually play the game for what it's worth.

I actually enjoy the game. While it doesn't have that levolution from 4, it makes up for it with the weather events. And I'm sure that in the next year or so, new maps will be brought in that have what everyone wants.

Now, the only thing that i happen to agree with on most of these reviews are the HUD clutter, and the removal of classes into specialists. While it's new, expands mobility and removes limits, it does numb the feel of what a classic Battlefield title feels like. Now everyone can run around with rockets, C4's, etc;, which truly ruins the feel but again, new Battlefield title, I'm learning to like the ability to switch things up without being limited in what items I can run without being restricted by a class.

And yes, it's very close to being an unfinished game. At the same time, this truly feels like a cash grab. Hold the weapons and maps and charge for them later in the years to come. It really sucks that it's coming to money hungry companies but don't blame DICE, blame EA.

Conclusion: Buy this game. It's fun and limitless and it's worth a try if you're willing to try a new and different Battlefield experience. But it won't be for everyone for a while and that's okay. Get BF4 or BF3 if you just want the classic feel. I'll be seeing ALL OF YOU on 2042 within the next few years and we will all have the same amount of fun.
