As someone relatively new to the Resident Evil series, I was intrigued by the hype surrounding the Resident Evil 2 Remake. However, after spending some time with the game, I can't help but feel a bit underwhelmed.

First off, the game does have its positives. The graphics are impressive, creating a chilling atmosphere, and the survival horror mechanics are solid, with resource management adding to the tension.

However, the game's scripted nature takes away from the immersion. It often feels like I'm just following a predetermined path rather than truly exploring a zombie-infested city. This predictability detracts from the overall experience and diminishes the sense of suspense.

Additionally, the lack of replayability is a letdown. Once you've completed the main campaign with both characters, there's little reason to return. Alternate scenarios and unlockable modes don't offer enough variation to warrant multiple playthroughs.

Given these drawbacks, the $40 price tag feels steep. While the game is decent, it falls short of justifying its cost, especially for newcomers to the series. I'd recommend waiting for a sale before diving into Raccoon City.

1. You are comparing two COMPLETELY different games.
2. If the game is crashing you might want to upgrade your system
