i can't in good conscience recommend this to a newer, or a long returning player in its current state.

there's still an absolute fantastic game buried underneath all the ♥♥♥♥, so good its generation defining for me.

while i may be able to tolerate the bot issues and proper content dry spells, i always get a wave of embarrassment when i try to play it with friends. either from bots, or having to send a config file just so the game launches properly
but yeah, ♥♥♥♥ bots

the one and only, a true milestone of a game, the game many others imitate.

my one and only issue is the stair changes are lacking, and causes issues that would normally be easy to solve with the old(er) system.
but other than that one negative, the game is in a perfect state, and highly recommended

and to anyone worried about the price, a free version is always available on the Dwarf Fortress website

is a surprisingly nice game to relax to. I would advise ignoring the chat as it can get quite cancerous. but what game doesn't have that issue.
