Do not get into the game right now. It is in an awful state.

Latest few updates introduced an incredible number of bugs, especially the most recent. Missiles not working (losing track or detonating for 0 damage, aircraft guns doing 0 damage, Laser Rangefinder adjusting your ranging but your shot still shoots out as if it is ranged for 100, game constantly tries to queue you in at a different BR if you have switched nations or presets recently, showing friends in your group as ready and letting you queue even if they are still in game when in a squad, getting catapulted out of the map if you touch a tree wrong, new premiums weapons being inoperable, etc..... Needs new game modes to break up the monotonous loop of the same thing every game. Sooo many new premiums that result in players spawning in a tank, dying once, and leaving. 2 minutes into the game, half your team will be missing and you will be stomped. Sometimes half of the enemy team is missing and you will stomp them. Expect to be first or second on your team with 3 kills at top tier because there are so few targets or you can't leave spawn. New german AA is great, US is okay, others are meh. Maps are too small for top tier and the new aa to be effective.

Currently, the game is in a state that I would recommend it to friends and others. It is an online game with frustrating moments. There are time where your teammates will let you down and times where you will let down teammates. That being said, I find it to be very enjoyable and very rewarding. I feel like the changes that Gaijin has made and will make (according to their road map) make the game better and will continue to do so. They are one of the only companies I've seen actually listen to the player base and make positive changes or give you reasons as to why they are not making a change that isn't just "our statistics show.........." (World of Warships special). Below are my previous reviews for continuity and a reference as the state of the game changes.
Below is my initial review. I did want to note that Gaijin has released an apology that is actually worded like a proper apology and acknowledged the feedback from the community in multiple areas. They have given a date by which we will have more information and I'll be updating this review at that time.

Nearly 400 hours in, I've bought premium time and have premium vehicles. I still do not have any top tier vehicles. I could easily play and research them but the cost of in-game currency per vehicle is extremely high compared to the income, even with premium bonuses. I can play for several hours with a better than 1.0k/d and make less than 100k credits.
