Either my guitar's fret scaling and pickup is too bad as I'm using a beginner guitar or, it's just your sound cable for this game sucks! I'm no guitar master but it gets me very frustrated when playing high speed songs because it just CAN’T recognize some right notes I'm playing, and it’s not just certain notes!
Now I did tried to adjust every volume level I could, and did tried to figure it out if it was just me not playing the notes clean enough as I've been playing acoustics for more than 5 years, trying hard to get rid of bad habits and adapt electric’s finger pressing & picking techniques. I’ve tried this software on 1st generation i5 (2009) and 4th generation i7 (2014) CPU both with GPU level above GTX 850m 4G, so it seems not the hardware problem. Well over all it’s a good game and design but, not enjoyable while playing high speed songs!
