The genre is horror, and the scares are back.

The last mainstream horror games were Resident Evil (remakes on point) and Alien Isolation.

Now Dead Space went down the REmake route and brought it back from dead.

Gameplay and QoL improvements are welcome and actually make sense. Story beats are not all the same, some for the better and for worse (Hammond taking most of it).

Game forces TAA unfortunately but it has DLSS 2.5 and FSR 2.1, with RTAO.
HDR support is poor, always targeting 4000 nits.

Would recommend standard edition, on a 70% discount.
