I don't play this game anymore but I thought I should write a review after over +1000 hours.

Why did I stop? I still think BDO is one of the best MMO's. But what was too much for me at some point because I thought too competitively. At some point it just took too long to see any noticeable progress.

The game is one of the few MMO's that I have really played properly and for a long time. I have to say that the game has a lot of content, so much that you actually always have something to do. There are enough different classes here and oh god, how long I spent on the character creation, you can change an incredible amount of the character.

However, thanks to the season servers, the game has become much easier, especially for beginners.

In Season Server you generally progress faster and also get better gear...

There is also the Lifeskill. You can do pretty much everything (Gathering, Processing, Cooking, Alchemy, Fishing, Trading, Hunting, Bartering etc.). But if I would go into detail now, the review would never stop because you can tell so much about the content of the game.

The PVP content is more aimed at end-game players. I think the PVP in this game is really fun, because you have to learn combos etc. I myself have not been able to try PVP yet. The only way I could try it was in the season servers, because you could only get up to a certain gear score.

Conclusion: As long as you don't take the game too seriously you can play it for a very long time. I have never noticed that the game is P2W and I hope it stays that way.
