TL;DR : Amazing in missions, downright hostile outside of them.

The presentation of the game is amazing. It's faithful to the source material without being overly self-indulgent, the music and artstyle all represent the "grand scale" which is 40k. The sound-design as well is great. Weapons, even the lasguns, are punchy and satisfying to shoot.

The gameplay is also very enjoyable. By now there is plenty of viable weapons and builds to create. All classes feel viable to bring, although at higher difficulties you certainly need someone that dedicates themselves for clearing ranged enemies. Modifiers help to keep the game fresh and there is enough easily readable enemies and callouts to help you recognize situations ahead of time; it is easy to get into and hard yet satisfying to master.

However... here is a lot bad things I need to mention to be genuine.

There is not many objectives; "Hold out in position and A) wait for a timer to run out, B) wait for a timer to run out and occassionally do a repair minigame, C) run around to clear shooting/melee targets within a short time or D) escort a maguffin from Point A to B". Due to the nature of these objectives being rather abundant, the downright inspired map design is blending together; especially because some missions take place in the same maps with slightly altered routes / backwards.

While you can earn cosmetics through gameplay, most cosmetics by now are through a rotational shop with a proprietary currency; so the standard MTX galore. Even in there, there is a lot of reskins. To add insult to injury, sometimes there can be clipping issues.

And then, the worst offender. Crafting. Weapons have random stats selected from 5 weapon-specific parameters. Then there is also two perks like extra Reload Speed or Damage vs. certain Armors and finally Blessings, which are powerful situational buffs. And this is essentially your endgame if you plan to tackle the highest difficulties. Is it absolutely necessary? No. But it's still the "endgame goal" so to say. And it's completely and arbitrarily locked by RNG. Because while you can scrap an item for a Blessing, you may only reroll one perk and one blessing. Base-Stats are fixed forever, so it is a pain to invest ressources only to have to bin it.
Completely overhauled in the latest Update, making it a lot more enjoyable.

In true Fatshark fashion, the launch was terrible and many of the promised features have still not been implemented, even 9 months after launch. This is not a live service game yet; in my opinion they are still patching in all the features.

I recommend this game because despite all the shortcomings, they are still making some effort to fix it and I have gotten more than my money's worth out of it. I am hopeful that they will eventually get to make the game they wanted to release, had management not crippled them for as much as it has and still does.
