This game is, unfortunately, a frustrating mess

Short and fun metroidvania with an interesting story

I am a sobbing wreck now

A short, interesting ride of existential horror. Set in an unknown future, it explores ideas of the pressures faced by the working class, fear of failure, the need to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

Great visuals, there were so many moments where I just stopped to take in a scene.

An unsettling experience that was just the right amount in length and left me feeling hit by a truck and wanting me to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

A solid looter shooter akin to the mechanics present in Warframe that is bogged down, held back, and sadly will most likely be put into the dirt by the parent companies inability to allow a reasonable pricing structure.

Creating a game that has direct competitors that have player-bases that they have maintained for over a decade, and then giving your game a MORE COSTLY f2p pricing structure than those already established games has got to be the worst business move I've ever seen.

Companies break into established markets by creating a superior product for less...this is a mediocre product that could maybe find a foothold to develop further if it was CHEAPER than its competition. They took d2's paint system that the d2's player-base ferociously hated and that bungie had removed YEARS ago and put it in their new game? Who makes business decisions like that?

6/10, a less egregious pricing model would probably turn this into an 8, the story has nothing to pull you in like Destiny's or Warframe's, two stories I love very much. Story really holds this game back for me honestly.

Any game that makes me just stare at the blank monitor, looking into my own eyes as I comprehend the finality of the story I just fully engrossed into, as I am an endless well of questions and emotions that will spend the entirety of the next day constantly having an existential crisis is a 10/10 for me. I am currently having that crisis right now.

Let me show you a little something from my personal collection. Guys I tell you this all the time but for real, DO NOT SLEEP on this one people.

Finished the main storyline on veteran and a large majority of the side content, could maybe squeeze out 4 more hours doing the last few things so about 30 hours give or take is what you're getting for one play through.

Overall as someone who has little care for league of legends lore this was a great story with some fun name dropping of characters and items from the moba game, and really made me appreciate the characters (like becoming an illaoi simp). The gameplay was a nice shake up of the normal turn-based rpg mechanics that really only started to get stale towards the end after abusing the broken combo of illaoi, pyke, and ahri for half the game.

Rating: 9/10

What a wonderful hidden gem of an action rpg this was to find. 200 hours at the time of writing this, eagerly awaiting for release to put 200 more in easily.
