This game is one of the greatest experiences I have had since 2010 in a video game. Its up there with The Witcher 3, the mass effect franchise and a few others. Not because it has any real RPG aspects but rather the sheer joy that it provides to be in the world.

Notes: This is the first FromSoft game i've truly committed to completing (DS Controls on K+M infuriated me), I am on keyboard and mouse during my playthrough.

The PROs:
- Extensive and very layered beautiful world, each region is unique and has its own flare - the colours are vibrant and gorgeous though that vibrancy can lend itself to the horror of some places as well.
- Exploration is the best I've ever seen it in any video game. It is worth it everytime to explore every nook and cranny you can find in the vast world elden ring has. Hell I am on NG+ and I am still seeing new things.
- Its combat though Jarring at first once you understand the flow of things, you will play like a god.
- Spells are fun as hell and the weapons feel as they should and there are a lot of powerful ones too boot.
- The music is incredible and the immersive atmosphere really pulls you into everything you're exploring.
- No nonsense, no politics, no social justice, no stupid lectures - just a fictional universe we can all enjoy, i know right? Rare af.

The Cons:
- New game plus doesn't really feel like much of anything other than "here is some extra runes, level up more and kill the same bosses quicker", it has the added downside of removing any fun from exploration and essentially is meaningless for anything but collecting a second weapon of the one you already have for build reasons, thats about it.
- The bosses are mostly good but very few of them seem unique, one of them who is ... well just say when you place the player in an ocean and run around a lot because of it is not fun, it gimps the player into fighting it in a very specific way if you want it to be smooth. I am not talking about Malenia who everyone and their mother has seen on youtube.
- The catacombs dungeons could use some more variety than these....imps ... and the bosses are repetitive.
- Death birds. Don't understand? You will.
- Rune bears.
- The lack of correct K+M support - Elaboration: Not all keyboard keys can be bound in the keybinds, This means your key combinations are limited. Sorry FromSoft but this isn't a fair way to port your game, limiting basic functionality of a keyboard is not a good thing forcing people to a limited set of keys can cause hand cramping which is really frustrating my sprint button is left alt and my jump button is space bar, think about the hand wizardry I have to perform FromSoft. (A trend I've noticed with Asian market companies) Monster Hunter series has the same problem. Its lazy.
- Story is good but feels too short and tacked on, lack of a tangible story to really sink your teeth into. Volcano manor was good though.

All in all this game is a solid 8.5/10 for me. Its not the best game ever made, it has its flaws but it is vastly superior to anything on the market right now. If you want to re-run the game, I would advise a fresh save each time, new game+ can be fun, but you're just too powerful at that point. Nothing is hard anymore.

***MINOR SPOILERS BELOW***

This game, is by far one of the best experiences I have had in a long long time. Its extremely unique in that very few survival games take place underwater. This game is incredible for anyone who wants to try and combat their fear of deep ocean. From the safe shallows to the lost river and deeper, this game provides such a unique experience - one that I will never forget honestly and its very rare I say that - I haven't said such things about a game in 8-10 years now.

Your best friends are your tools and your transport, you get access to a fast high speed 1 person transport, later an exo suit! and then finally a submarine. The exo suit and submarine with upgrades will be mandatory later on but make sure you upgrade them, for both seamoth and cyclops, sonar upgrades are your best friend in navigation. Be warned, it drains your transports energy rapidly so plan ahead!

The story was interesting, this isn't an A to B game either. Somethings you will just come across others you'll get markers and some will only occur when you explore!

There is a slight downside there is no map, so the only mods I will recommend is Qmod (Enables mods) and "MAP", the Map mod adds what it says on the tin to the game where you would handle your way-points and locations for your PDA, there will be a switch at the top right - so you can flip between the map and the PDA locations. The map will show you the different biomes as you explore with their own unique colour systems, very easy to read and understand. It will also show you any wrecks you discover (they are very important for tech progress! ALWAYS take a SCANNER with you).

Alternatively you just don't use the mods and just do it the hard way if you're so inclined.

One final thing, at some point it will tell you if you don't go to the "ship" and find prawn exo suit pieces out in the biomes, it will say "x/20" - DO NOT STRESS. You do not need to collect all 20 pieces, just do the ship first and you will only require 4 pieces instead. They're all in the ship as well so its an all in one. You will also need a propulsion cannon to complete the ship or even get into it.

Otherwise enjoy the game for what it is! And for gods sake build a base ASAP! your life will become so much easier haha

It was amazing before the remaster, it is amazing now after the remaster, still one of the best Video Game RPGs to ever exist.

Oh and if anyone from Ubisoft happens upon my little review here;

Mass Effect 1-3 is a perfect how-to-tutorial of how to make both sexes cannon, take notes and do it. Maleshep and femshep are completely equal here, the world and characters also isn't built around the fact devs want one characters sex to be more prevalent than the other either (btw ubi doing that is stupid af). There is also no dialogue screw ups where in-game items and messages call you male or female opposite to your character choice and no dialogue mess ups either. Just do both and win, its such an easy win. JUST DO IT.

Yes I am talking about assassins creed games

I love and hate this game equally to such an extent that it genuinely infuriates me further that I am so divided on it. HOWEVER if you enjoy a good slog, grind and pretty graphics, giant monsters and pogo sticks that let you leap into the air and essentially spin around mid air doing damage (Insect glaive) or perhaps you like to whirl two daggers around like a mad lad or shoot with bows and guns from range, then this game is for you.

The MP aspect is solid, if someone joins within 10 minutes of a mission being started (You must fire a flare if its your mission for someone to join or respond to an S.O.S if its someone elses) then you will get the full rewards including mission completion. If its after 10 minutes then you won't, however if you see one dude on his own relatively low HR and its past 10 minutes and its an elder dragon or something, go help them out. The learning curve in this game is a pain and its much better with others, the more people in the group does raise the health pools especially in Master Rank (late game/ expansion: Iceborne) BUT its significantly better when the monster isn't just spamming you and your palico (mostly you)...I am looking at you MR Azure Rathalos you Piece of....

ANYWAY.. Pros and Cons;

Pros:
1) Visually Beautiful & Vibrant
2) Rewarding
3) You actually have to bother playing for once in a video game in the last 10 years (Genuine shock)
4) Cool and distinctive weapons from all categories all have their strengths and weaknesses
5) Narrative driven story but...eh well, see CONs.
6) All monsters are Unique except for the two sonic wannabes.
7) The game is actually difficult at times and MP is optional should you prefer a more difficult fight though only really applies to MR Tempered and arch-tempered monsters.
8) Incentivised crafting and gathering, it really does help to stock up.. though less so in Iceborne.
9) Monster Park Breaks - You can actually hinder the monster by break parts of their bodies hindering some of their more deadly aspects, really nice bit of depth.
10) Fun and Light hearted, no politics. Technically I would say there is but Asian movies, TV and games that revolve around ecosystems typically have a pro-natural world outlook, but essentially for MHW its "Hey look, nature is really cool! :D and scary D:"

Cons:
1) Clunky and unforgiving animations
2) You cannot animation cancel.
3) Weird Control Scheme layouts. Not A-typical for a western game though you can rebind keys, still heavily restrictive.
4) Incomprehensible amounts of CC.

Tips: Use X mantle vs X monster, learn their attacks, use weapons they are weak too and ones that help you beat them easier, DO NOT stick to just one weapon type and make multiple weapons with different elements, make sure you always have NULL BERRIES and Antidotes on you as well as Potions, Mega Potions and a bunch of other stuff. If you don't prepare the game will eat you for breakfast. It is healthy to have one ranged, one mobile and one brute force weapon and it will make your life easier. For Flying Monsters I personally prefer the insect glaive. Don't just rage at the fact you died, think about why it happened at all, what attack killed you, how you can avoid it and so forth. Positive outlook helps you more in this game than throwing yourself into the meatgrinder over and over.

5) Master Rank drop rates for special items are gross. Worse than Low Rank Plates and High rank Gems, Monster mantles in MR are 2%. 10% from gold reward investigations but still.
6) Master Rank Health Pools for monsters are utterly absurd. More than 3 times the health pool of high rank solo.
7) Games story is fine, narrative is fine, BUT insanely annoying approach, zero input from player character just weird gestures and lots and lots of nodding (may god have mercy on the player characters neck) its honestly cringe.
8) Minor con; mouths are not synced up with the characters words, obvious port but still annoying if you dont like that sort of thing.
9) The handler. Look I....I don't know what most Asian games are like I tend to stay away from them, but the handler is sooooo hyper emotional about everything in existence then it genuinely took me out of the story a few times. Shes so aggressively emotional its quite mad.

Conclusion:
Overall great game, it has some really REALLY frustrating aspects to it, but you can tell the devs put a lot of love into making it and frankly I've had a blast. I originally played it with friends but we ended up giving up, not all of us were enjoying it. So quite some time later I came back and finally finished playing Iceborne, really enjoyed what I've played after I got out of my rigid 'I don't want to change weapons tho' phase. Absolutely recommend to everyone and anyone who likes a challenge and everyone who loves slaying fantasy monsters, its also a great time sink. You certainly won't be done with it in a week thats for sure.

Disclaimer: I have only completed the game once so far with a friend and I've messed about with the Dev Menu Mod.

General:
Much of the complaints you will hear is that dying light 2s story isn't that good and night is no longer scary. While much of that has truth to it, I would argue that its for the best and frankly, Dying light 1s story wasn't that good either, in fact much of it was pigeon hole writing.

While I understand the reasons behind some people preferring dying light 1, a lot of it can be honestly boiled down to adrenaline junkies and I don't mean that in a negative way, what I mean is that there is a segment of the player base that exclusively loved dying light because of the terror they got out of it, which thus gave them an adrenaline boost and realistically thats alls that it is. Night time in dying light 1 though terrifying really didn't have much purpose beyond killing volatile nests, more XP and slightly better loot that wasn't really needed at all to play the game and have fun. I largely view Dying light 1 as being over hyped having completed it a bunch of times with friends and by myself.

Was that good for the game that was made at the time? Sure, but it was tedious as well. So tedious in fact that I ended up hating it, either having to sneak everywhere or a volatile just jumping in through a window at the worst time or the slightest noise causing a swarm of them on patrol. Dying light 1 was never a horror game that people pass it of as, it was a zombie survival with a horror element.
Some people may like that but I honestly didn't, it was just frustrating beyond anything else.

Mechanics:
With all that said, the game is genuinely fun. Between the elevation, the climbing, the glider, the grappling hook and the game play loop, its actually really good from a mechanical aspect.
Night time is far more reasonable though I do admit they COULD have the occasional roaming volatile but not to the extent that they had in dying light 1, in my opinion it would be nice if some of the howlers ended up being volatiles instead. You can actually do things without being chased every 5 seconds in DL2 which is frankly, very refreshing so I am glad its not thousands of volatiles roaming the streets at night constantly. The flow of parkour in this sequel is vastly superior in my opinion as well.

Story:
The story was.....well it is what it is. I really like Aidens character but Lawan is annoying in fact she seems really unnecessary over all as well like she was shoe horned in...feels like a good chunk of the story is dealing with lawan and the factions more than Aiden himself, the one dimensional aspect too the factions is...well yeah, not great and its clear that the way the world played out since Harran was heavily influenced by the last two years of the real world, especially when you listen to the GRE tapes and the collectables. I think the writers too way too easy of a route with 'how' the world reacted and drew far too much off the real world for their inspiration and not enough with their imagination.

They went for a more personal story this time with a more human element, it felt some what unfinished, its also strange that the story seemed to get really messed up really fast towards the end after being so passive throughout most of it, I do wonder if there was conflicting ideas at play with the writing in what kind of direction to take. The flow didn't feel natural story wise. It felt....unfinished in a lot of places. But I enjoyed it mostly.

The one thing I found truly disappointing was no deep dive into the evolution of the infected and perhaps a secret sentient volatile faction, we know its possible and the lack of it was really disappointing. Imagine for a moment, the volatiles become sentient and start hunting us for sport and their kind become the primary enemy? That would be fun. In both games with the exception of the following, the volatiles are....well they're just animals. Thats it.

and for gods sake techland STOP PULLING A UBISOFT. Stop killing good characters. R, W, V. You'll figure out which characters those are when you see their names or hear them.

Recommendation
All and all, its a chill and fun game that has its short comings but all and all is very enjoyable for the most part, a nice change from the suffocating atmosphere of harran which gives me hope for the franchise, showing that they can create different atmospheres instead of just the same drab and dark world dying light 1 was. Not everyone really enjoyed DL1s atmosphere as much as others it seems.

I would absolutely recommend this game, just don't go in expecting it to be Dying light 1 with a colourful skin. In fact I would say its better this way. I play these games to play with my friends mostly as well and not really to enjoy having a panic attack running for a safe zone at night, which is frankly insanely boring and a bit of a gimmick honestly.

Possibly one of the best games I've played in the last 5-10 years. Imagine for a moment that Ghost busters and string theory scientists working with the FBI had a child and called it Control.

I wont be doing any story spoilers So i'll just run through the Cons and Pros and some animation discussion (mostly facial animations)

PROs:
- Runs buttery smooth even on my old rig while on max minus RTX settings ( GTX 980, i7 4790k 4.0ghz, 16GB of ram)
- Characters are too the point and fun there is zero modern politics involved (A massive bonus for me)
- Visually beautiful & Stunning
- 90% of the lighting is done extremely well and heavily complements the visual design (Perfect geometric shapes etc).
- Physics system used perfectly to turn the game world into your weapon.
- Game spaces wrapped in the story and writing fit perfectly with the themes
- Combat is seamless & fluid
- Movement is fluid and clean
- Encourages exploration but doesn't force it upon you constantly.
- Music and sounds absolutely flawless.
- Very engaging story
- Takes itself seriously but know when and how to have fun (character and writing wise)
- Absolutely worth the full price tag.

CONs:
- Facial animations are.....sloppy.
- Lighting is harsh at times, particularly in specific areas it becomes way too harsh. I understand what they're trying to convey visually with the red colours, but the intesity in specific sections is too much. Towards the end of the game and the post game story. This hurts the combat experience of boss fights.
- Boss fights are "ok" they're not the meat of the game, they could be better.
- Lacks newgame+

So there are far more Pros for me than Cons we need to have a chat about facial animations;

Remedy, guys and gals...what happened? everything about this game is amazing except the facial animations you seriously need to work on those facial animations if not in Control but if there is a sequel please do better with them. The facial animations are so Jarring. Jesse also seems to lack any variance of sitting animations before "lean back" & "lean forward". This detracts from character interactions massively, one of the first characters you meet..she looks horrified for 90% of the interactions or shes about to take a massive bite out of an apple constantly. Jesse looks like shes gritting her teeth all the time and has her lower jaw off to the right almost constantly when interacting with other characters.

Well that's it. My conclusion is this: This game is fantastic, its worth the money and its extremely well done loved every moment of it and the ashtray maze area was one of the funnest experiences I've ever had in a game. I am fairly certain you wont regret your purchase unless you're I don't know....weird or something.

One of the best narrative driven RPGs of its time, wonderfully immersive and well written (despite severe detachment from the books).

The game takes itself seriously and isn't shy about the more adult themes that come with The Witchers territory. Much of the game is obviously old - many of the characters visually are repetitive except for the unique characters in the story but it is so engaging that much of it is tolerable even to do this day, I've done so many runs now that I've lost track.

The combat is what it is, this was from pre-2010 and despite how frustrating it might be at the start, provided you can adapt to it - its actually a strangely fun experience switching between styles and combining potions with each encounter. Ironically I actually prefer this to witcher 2's combat. Quests are really well done and generally fun but be warned there is a lot of backtracking in this game, perhaps too much so your first run through wont be bad as it will be a new experience but your second run and more I would advise trying to pre-plan your quest routes so you can try to do as many quests in an area as efficiently as possible. At least then you dont have to go forward to come back a bunch of times for each area.

The music is gorgeous and really adds to the atmosphere the game appears to be going for, it sets a good foundation for the other games that follow and does not try to deviate the character at any point. In the end it is an old game, but it is one that I will never forget.

Note: This review primarily focuses on the LEGACY branch of the game and some reason as to why I haven't primarily started playing EVRIMA branch yet (I have tried it) which can be found in the "CONS" section.

I've played the Isle for just under 40 hours now, I bought it for a friend as well. Big shoutout to Anthomnia and IGP for pushing this game with their content on YouTube, I wouldn't of known about this game or even bought it if not for them. I can safely say this has been one of the most fun experiences I've had in a long long long time. Its simple, grow, hunt, kill, survive. Its that simple and provided you understand this to its fullest extent then you will have fun (see the 1 liner rage post reviews to know the people who don't understand it) and if you don't like the chance of your time growing your dino being ended in an instant there are servers with rules of engagement and so forth (Dino world as an example).

The goal is for you to survive as long as you can, alone or with friends. My recommendation is that you play servers with "NO RULES" beyond common sense (no cheating, no glitching - etc) as this is how the developers intended and still do intend to my knowledge for the game to be played. This way you won't get punished for playing how you want to play, private servers with rules are very restrictive and not for people who just want the raw experience as it was intended.

IMPORTANT: Please note you can only group up if you are the same breed to form packs or herds to roam around with, the game uses logic regarding grouping.

So here we go pros and cons:
PROS:
1) EXTREMELY good value for money.

2) Plenty of dinosaurs to choose from both carnivore and herbivore.

3) Different dinosaurs have their strengths and weakness's (each is its own experience)

4) The maps are large and fairly detailed considering their age, Thenyaw Island is actually
breathtaking for a forest/mountain range map. Isle V3 is great too, just watch out for apex's they're everywhere haha

5) can hold over 150 people on a map, can be an interesting experience at peak times haha.

6) Solid performance for the legacy branch - no issues. No frame drops or crashes.

7) Night time is pitch black, so with giga's and t-rexs running around and their roars in the night its pretty terrifying, you do have night vision of a sort but its limited so when alls you can hear is a T-rex breathing in the dark behind you and stomps of loud feet yeah...run. great fear factor. The panic is hilarious with friends.

8) It doesn't always have to be fear and terror though, there are a great many people who just have a laugh and enjoy themselves as well. Is a really fun & scary or fun & chill game.

CONS:
1) Time constraints; while this isn't necessarily a bad thing it will be a detractor for those who don't have enough time but want to play Apex creatures in survival: Ex: Giganotasaurus takes up to 7 (real) hours to fully mature, ideally you wouldn't do those 7 hours straight but by comparison to everything else its mind-numbingly long, its fine as its apex dinosaurs but It would be better if those hours were reduced to about 5 hours instead. Everything else you can choose from is rather quick, grow to an adult in under an hour. For a fun starter experience I recommend the Carnosaurus.

2) Disconnection of content; so this is sort of a good and bad thing, LEGACY is what it sounds like its the "old" game, EVRIMA is the new game which can be accessed by selecting the EVRIMA branch from the beta opt ins when you are in the game properties on steam and install it from there (the game defaults to the old game on first install), the reason they've split the game is that they rebuilt the game at the code level and thus had to split the versions up so they can do things better and implement more things properly (the old game was making things difficult for them). This however makes things wonky, so this is a negative only in the sense that its confusing for people and that it does split up content especially in terms of types of dinos you can play and what maps you can play.

Finally - EVRIMA:
I am liking what I am seeing but the biggest problem for me and many many other people is performance. Its awful, I want to play it but I also don't want to frame skip every 30 seconds, if they want more people to shift over from legacy then the performance needs to improve drastically. When I am on a server with 150 people (Isle V3 map in legacy) there is no frame drops what so ever. EVRIMA with 50? Frame drops every half a minute.
Its quite frustrating. As a result I recommend that anyone buying the game plays legacy until they do several, substantial and meaningful optimisation passes of EVRIMA.

I would also recommend to the devs respectfully that they wait until EVRIMA runs as smooth as the legacy maps & its respective gameplay before they discontinue legacy completely. Should frame rates improve on EVRIMA then I will edit my review to reflect that as the reason for putting EVRIMA in the cons section will have changed.

Conclusion:
Great game to play alone or friends when you need to kill time or just enjoy running around as a Dino fighting other dinos and is great value for money! but stick too the legacy branch until they've optimised the EVRIMA branch, use "NO RULES" servers like [EU] ASURA #7,#6 & #5 (beware fake duplicate servers; if the latency is above 200ms with the same name do not join them, they are hacked servers they do not belong to the Asura community). An alternative to Asura would be Tapkin Survival [RU/EU] (no alt).

The community is great and generally very friendly, I also recommend joining The Isle's discord server to stay up to date on information on the game and communication by the developers with the community, for official information visit their social media pages.

8/10 so far, really enjoying the game and my friends are as well.

This is a great game, though very archaic and its device system is intended to restrict the player from becoming too powerful for the missions (a bit of a silly design) As a space sim story game (single player) its very enjoyable. Reminds me of 90s sci-fi shows particularly Babylon 5 in many ways in terms of ship designs.

There is however one mission that is infuriating for everyone so I will post how to do it here in case anyone needs help with it; The mission is called "Sneaking" which is Mission 12 in the game.

THAT ONE MISSION EVERY GAME HAS - MISSION 12 - "SNEAKING" (stealth)

Do the following:

1) Before the mission make sure you have at least "x1 electron cell" and "x1 plasma cell" equipped and switch out your layer shield for a "Jamming shield, BIG".

2) During the mission you will be traveling between points, make sure to have stealth, cloak and your energy devices set to 3 instead of 1 throughout the whole thing. Set others to 3 when necessary as there will be combat later and you will need your weapons etc. (well sort of, just a rule of thumb for me but you'll see in the mission)

3)When you get to NAV 0 at the beginning immediately go to NAV 3, when you get there immediately press F3 to stop your ship on the spot (and make sure its active on the UI) You will not be detected because of the Jamming shield you've equipped.

4) There will be a new timer when you lose your cloak. When thats done, there will be a new timer. As that timer hits 15 seconds (counting down) immediately make your way to NAV 7. You will go undetected as you do this and your cloak will reactivate automatically.

5) When you reach NAV 7 do as before with NAV 3.

6) As it gets to 15 seconds again, start making your way to Theta base. This time however, as you cloak make sure you put your engines on 200% power output. You will not be detected. The Electron and Plasma cells are key to this and its why you equipped them.

7) Half way there you will encounter a ship of the enemy coming in from the left side, press F3 as it crosses. Once the nose of the ship is behind the asteroid, just a little - start moving to theta base again without engines on 200%. Once the enemy ships engines are about to go behind the asteroid you can put the ship on 200% engine power again and start heading for Theta. The ship should not detect you, its all about timing.

8) The MOMENT you hear dialogue saying you're in range (don't worry about the timer), Hit F3 - If you get too close they will detect you. Immediately deploy the commandos to the station. They will not be detected as they approach.

Once that's all done, there will be a cut-scene and then something else will happen, enjoy :)
AND PLEASE MAKE REGULAR SAVES THROUGHOUT THE MISSION. Its a pain in the backside if you do not.

That's it for mission 12, mission 13 "Titan" is also painful and you may feel frustrated, that missions explanation will take far longer because its a longer mission by design - YouTube has a bunch of guides for it so don't hesitate to look it up if you struggle. Overall its fantastic game so far, quite unforgiving for mistakes but the story is quite interesting and very old school. Really enjoyable - there is a lot of nostalgia of old sci-fi in this as well. They could totally do a sequel game and I would buy it in a heartbeat. If there was a 40k Version of this game I would be throwing my wallet at it.

Wonderfully time consuming and fun game!

Little tips for people who have never played before for the campaign (including not playing the original DoW - you should though because its awesome but not DoW 3, its trash):

THIS IS FOR SPACE MARINES ONLY:

1) Capture the first province directly below you immediately (Provides you with a bonus 1000 requisition at the start of each mission/attack or defence): Easiest way to do this region - Build 4 servitors, use the first to start a power plant, use the next to start a chapel barracks, then use the rest to build more power plants. Get a marine squad out, max out the power plants, build a turret to help defend your base and just relax (Upgrading power to gain more power per second is extremely helpful), then just sit back and relax. Fairly short mission/region.

2) Don't spend your entire time ending your turn without reinforcing other provinces to make it easier to defend them. (DO NOT AUTO-RESOLVE EVER ALWAYS FIGHT) The bases you build when attacking a region will be there when you defend a region so build EVERYTHING including defenses

3) Take honour guard with you. They are extremely useful, the standard astartes HG (the first one you get) has access to all marine squad weapons at the start. Extremely useful. HG are also useful for capture the requisition points around your base. (and please upgrade your capture points, each upgrade gives more req per second & better defences for that point)

4) marine squad weapon comp: 2x Heavy Bolter, 2x missle launcher, 1x heavy flamer (If necrons, switch heavy flamer for plasma gun) P.s If against tau, make servo-skulls at listening posts which are built on capture points (Skull probes) and get the upgrade for servo-skull (skull probes) stealth, tau are big on invisibility, annoying early on.

I prefer to build 2x power plants, 1 CB to start with, build a marine squad attach Davian thule to them and then build on the capture points, upgrade them, then upgrade the HQ then build armorys, get the upgrades, upgrade HQ again, start building 2x machine cults for predator tanks, build the monestary for apothecaries, then finally get the final building for terminators. While all thats happening, set up 2x turrets at every choke of your base with at least one squad while I build up. Its really relaxing playing this way.

Slight spoiler:
Oh and finally, leave davian thule in your base when you are attacking the primary necron region (the middle one) if he dies the mission is over and you will be "repelled" and have to do it all over again, when you clear the final objective, build a Rhino, put thule in it - travel across the map, unload place the "thing" and then get the hell out of there and immediately bring thule in the rhino to the back of your base.

Thats it really for the campaign, the MP is entirely different experience but you should still try it. Its fun! try not to get frustrated :P

Now where was I? Ah yes;
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
LET THE GALAXY BUUUUURN!
