Simple idea for a game, but it works really well and is really fun! And the value for money with the amount of re-playability and frequent content updates can't be denied. Basically any PC can run this game, it's cheap, so it's very accessible to everyone. Would definitely recommend!

It's DOOM.

This game is very good, and with the steam port there is an influx of new players and a healthy player-base for a game this (relatively) old. Matchmaking usually takes up to 1-3 minutes, but you may find yourself staring at the matchmaking screen for some time when many players aren't online.

Frontier Defense is my favorite gamemode, since I came to Titanfall for the campaign, and finding out there was a wave based co-op mode surprised me. It has a unique progression system with cool upgrades for your titans the more you play, and along with the already amazing core gameplay, it makes for a really good gamemode. So if you're not into PvP or find that too difficult for you, Frontier Defense is still a very viable and fun multiplayer option that can make you wonder where the past couple of hours has gone (the answer: blowing up hordes of enemy titans with your friends).

There are of course many, many PVP modes, which were pretty fun, but I don't really PvP much. It is a big part of the game though, and I know a lot of people enjoy it. The amount of modes really freshens up the game and I'm sure it won't make you feel bored of the same old thing all the time.

I have to say, there are frequent server timeouts when in the multiplayer menu screen, and it can get pretty annoying, so be prepared to deal with that. But it's somewhat bearable, I can usually get in a game pretty quickly anyway. I'd say it might happen every other minute or so. That's probably the biggest drawback of this game.

I don't think you need to hear about how amazing the campaign is again, seeing as how people have been saying that for the 5 or so years the game has been out. But yeah, it is AMAZING! Get ready to fall in love with BT-7274. The missions were well designed and fun to play, and "Effect & Cause" has a very fun and unique feature. I don't want to spoil it for you, but it's an awesome mission.

All in all, Titanfall 2 is a great game, and it's worth it even if you're only going to play the campaign, although slightly short. I would definitely recommend checking this game out if you haven't already with the steam port.

A very fun game, there's also a nice hints of puzzle that sometimes left me stuck for 5 minutes before figuring something out and feeling smart for finding the solution. If you're a fan of tentacle monsters that eat people, give this game a try! The environment and art style are amazing, as well as the music. Try to look for a sale though, I played through the entire game + the free DLC + all achievements in about 10 hours, but if money isn't too much a problem it's definitely worth it. The game can get repetitive for some people, although I enjoyed that loop of puzzle-solving with opening levers and doors and trying to get to the next area to eat some people and fight some robots. The upgrades you get to your tentacle monster are also pretty interesting, as I am a fan of gory monsters and stuff. The upgrades I missed in side locations after I reached the ending to the game kept me going even after beating the game, and the DLC was also fun, it had similar mechanics to the base game, but was christmas themed basically. Also if you're into achievements and looking for a fun game to 100%, Carrion is a viable option. There are also some surprisingly fun, and well made custom mods/campaigns on the community workshop so you could check those out to. It was just click and play, so there's potentially more content for this game if you're interested in that.

I recommend this game. Why? Just Cause.
