Where am I? What is this place? I'm all alone... Does this place ever end? Am I the only one here?

Absolutely loved the experience, it's just you and your lonely thoughts walking and wading through pool rooms, nothing more to it than taking in the strange atmosphere and observing imagery that at certain points makes you wonder if this place is somehow either just a dream or somehow alive and messing with you. Also the fact I didn't have to worry about any scp-knock off meme monsters jump-scaring around a corner and chasing the player around ruining the experience is a win in my book. 👍

if only we could carry a companion duck around though. 🦆

Early Access Review
Obnoxious Xwitter memes aside.

This is surprisingly a solid horror dark comedy visual novel with some nice artwork, it's an easy going walking and talking adventure that includes some light puzzles. The "horror" element is definitely more subtle since the main focus is on the very codependent and toxic sibling relationship further made worse by their various predicaments. I admit at first I was uncomfortable at times with certain scenes but that was to be expected and then I found myself pretty invested in the storyline as it went further on, I'm quite curious to see how it ends.

Overall, this game has a pretty decent story so far with multiple endings and with only two chapters released so far in early access, I hate to admit but I'm looking forward to the playing the rest of the chapters when they come out.

Keeping very FAR away from the fandom though btw lol.

Only kids who grew up with HypnOS will understand it.

Playing this unlocked a ton of core memories from back in the day and I loved it.

Game is not only hilarious but also the gameplay mowing down psykos and looking for secrets is unironically a lot of fun. Hearing Seepage in the background warms my heart. <3

In the end, game is frickin' sick. Zane you absolute madman.

Everyone hates their jobs and boss to the point they go on strike and couldn't care less about delinquents going about tagging the workplace. I couldn't relate more.

Also there's a bunch of funny critters going about their day. Overall, a funny and weird fever dream of a game worth playing atm that it's free. Comes with pretty easy achievements as well.

I hope you like having your eyes intact.

God, the feels. I expected silly slice of life shenanigans involving two gal pals trying to promote and sell their first cute retro puzzle platform game. I did not expect this game to hit hard and give a harsh life lesson that I'm sure will leave an impact for many especially the graduates who went through a similar experience.

All though this a pretty short story that I've managed to complete in about 2 or so hours. I particularly enjoyed listening to the OST, the pixel artwork is adorable, the oldschool platforming sections were a pretty fun brainteaser and an interesting narrative tool to show Kanii's mood working on the game. The ending is also open to speculation, which raises questions if everything actually happened or not.

Overall I absolutely loved it.

Pretty funny how despite having a modern gaming computer that I always find myself coming back to a game made in the early 2000s.

Plenty of memories to be had with this silly clicking simulator which introduced me to online gaming as a whole. It was also responsible for consuming a majority of my free-time for years until those infamous EOC + MTX P2W updates that began around 2011-12 where I like many others decided to finally move on from it. Ever since Jagex announced they would bring back a 2007 version of Runescape, at the time I was surprised the game was still a thing lol, I immediately jumped back into it.

The game is a surge of nostalgia and Jagex despite whether you might hate them or REALLY hate them, seemed to have learned from past mistakes and continue to add updates to keep the game running according to what players vote for through polls in-game, this keeps the game fresh while not changing too much to stray from that old-school feel. Even to new players, the simplicity of the game can be an enjoyable experience whether to just wander around exploring, questing, slaying monsters, gather resources through skilling or just there to bankstand and interacting with the community, which by the way can be both a blessing and a curse. The gameplay is easy to understand and unlike back then there are plenty of guides available today to help out newcomers build their accounts, there's no pressure for anything, you can play a few hours a day without feeling like you're missing out on anything unless you're dedicated to the grind competing for resources or doing certain activities for example Boss raids, PVP (player killing) or an Ironman (true solo experience). You can play the game however you want.

Now while I personally do find this game a fun way to kill time, I do feel like it will only appeal to people who played Runescape during a certain period being pre-EOC specifically and newcomers might not stick around for too long on a daily basis in the long run. Still to this day, whether it's interacting with chilling with people, completing a difficult quest, reaching a certain skill level or receiving valuable drops from monsters. I'm surprised the game remains enjoyable despite having been away from it for so long.

Just a reminder to keep track of time because the immersion grind is real. Also by the way be sure to check out Runelite, it's a very useful client that has plug-ins that truly make the game an even better experience according to your liking, you can even link it to Steam via launch options.

A dream come true.

I never expected these games that were a huge part of my younger years to finally come to PC and here we are.

The campaigns are as fun and memorable as I remember, but unfortunately there is no split-screen co-op option for PC. So if you're looking to bring a buddy into the fray on the same PC, sorry. It's supposedly in 343's current "backlog" though.

Multiplayer, while I never really got into it. It's enjoyable but unfortunately has it's fair share of outdated issues that plague it, such as poor matchmaking that forces low skill rank players to play against the same team-stacking high rankers who treat every match like it's the MLG Championship which kills the lobby of any fun and leaves a bad experience on their part. Quitters and AFK'ers are another thing, people who are either forced to quit/stand idle due to poor connection or just rage-quit because they're losing are usually never kicked/replaced by someone else waiting in the queue that result in lopsided teams. Can't tell how many times I've had matches where it was 1v4 (the one person idling) or even 3v6 (rage quitters). Overall you're usually going to be playing a lot of 4v4s against the same people and queue for a looong time finding a 8v8 BTB game outside of 3, Reach and 4 due to the low playerbase in some of the old games, especially in CE, 2 and 2A.

These are just some issues I've experienced that can be fixed with a custom server browser, which is apparently being prioritized at the moment. For the most part, the current MP still has it's moments. But if PVP isn't your thing, you can also try "Firefight" which is only available in two games (ODST and Reach) which has you and a few other people holdout against waves of enemy AI, it's fun and chaotic but overtime gets a bit too repetitive due to lack of variety and customization on the default matchmaking. Modding is also a thing, which either improves upon the experience for better or worse. But it can only be enabled by starting up MCC with anti-cheat turned off which also disables achievements and season points.

There is a huge set of achievements to keep you coming back to the campaign and completing in-game challenges that reward you with season points that allow you to spend them on cosmetic skins for MP. Overall, these are still a great set of FPS games I recommend playing.

I love the Binding of Isaac and will admit this game has a wonderful aesthetic surrounding the cardboard theme and great music by Ridiculon, but the same cannot be said for the unbalanced gameplay.

Either you're going to have a great run breezing through certain rooms or bad runs where you're going to have rely exclusively on receiving good spells/trinkets and praying you get movement or puzzle damage boosts, without those on some characters you're basically trying to delay your inevitable demise by overanalyzing which leads to wasted time.

It seems to rely on pure luck to have good setups on your board to remotely have a chance to defeat multiple enemies with lots of health playing as certain characters especially by the dreaded third area which has enemies with different abilities between immunity towards spells/puzzle damage, move multiple times and some can drain your movement which leaves you without a chance to properly set up a defense or gather enough mana, which by the way doesn't last between rooms.

There is also the lack of a save feature which haves you leaving the game window open all day along with the inability to cancel bad treasure room items that you're basically forced to take and replace one of your good ones especially before a boss despite there being an option to cancel, don't know if that was intentional. Haven't run into any major glitches and bugs so far

This game had a lot of potential to be fun for the first few runs after playing multiple runs, you begin to see the flaws. It seems to be way to RNG and luck based for my taste.

Very unique rogue-like in that you can only move according to the rhythm of music playing throughout the levels.

Kind of a difficult game to get invested in as it is very fast-paced and requires a lot of focus in every run, it can be rage-inducing sometimes especially for the achievements. But gotta say the music is AMAZING and the characters are fun and challenging to play as and there is a lot of cool enemy designs that add to the level environment. The DLC adds more of this plus more challenges.

I recommend playing this when there's no distractions around. :)
