I bought the 2024 version specifically for career mode, and while it is buggy at times, it's still an overall enjoyable experience and I'm having fun with it personally. Hopefully with time the devs fix all the bugs and improve on what they have right now because there's a lot of potential with it.

My experience with the performance has not been as bad as some people's. I have a Ryzen 9 5900x with a 3080 TI running 1080p on high settings and I get 30-40 fps with a population of around 32k, which is completely reasonable for a city building game. That's not to say they shouldn't address the performance issues people are having, they definitely should. I love all the new additions they've added! Road networks are so much more fun to build, utilities are way more in-depth, being able to upgrade buildings with their own unique upgrades is a really cool addition, there's so many great additions compared to the first game! My only real complaint is that earning money is too easy, you get so much with every milestone you reach it's pretty much impossible to run out before you reach the next milestone, which doesn't leave you with much of a challenge. All in all it's a great sequel and I'm excited for what's to come down the line!

Quite literally one of the best single player experiences I've had in years. Absolutely worth every penny.

on a serious note, it's a very charming and fun, although somewhat short, adventure. i managed to get 100% completion in around two hours, without the help of guides. even though it's a short game, i feel it's very worth the price.

Writing this review just after getting 100% completion. One of the coolest and most unique rhythm games I've ever played. The soundtrack is great, the levels are fun to play and learn, and there's just enough challenge where it's not frustrating and still enjoyable. On top of the main game, there's a bunch of player made levels on the Workshop that are very neat as well. I definitely got my money's worth and more with this game.
