It's got that humor, it's got action, the character models are really nice ... and I'm really enjoying it so far.
I got it for free with my GPU, so I thought it was just going to be another terrible movie license game, but it's not! It feels like a mix of Wolfenstein and DIshonored.

Welp, it no longer crashes all the time, so that's a plus.

I have no idea what anyone sees in this.

Good idea with a pi** poor execution. Level design is truly horrible, I don't know where to go half the time.
Parkour *works* sometimes, most of the times it really doesn't and you end up falling to your death instead of Faith doing a wall run or whatever it was you were trying to do, and combat...exists.

This game is rarely enjoyable (garbage save system not helping) , most of the time it's just frustrating and it feels like you're fighting the controls rather than doing anything else.

Literally impossible to launch, game either crashes so bad you have to use task manager to kill it off if you dare to click on anything on the User Agreement screen (literally on startup) or if you wait it boots you back to desktop.
I've tried every possible fix under the sun, nothing works. (The game also fails to validate 912 files totaling 96.72 GB of data. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.) Black Ops Cold War runs just fine.

(Also bonus points for when you try to submit a ticket on Activision support website, you just get "No result. Please try again. ... Lol)

Honestly, this is a bit of a letdown.

For 20-30 dollars, this would be a cool game....but for 60... You can buy 7 copies of L4d2 (probably 3 times as many when its on sale) and even at it's best, this is just a L4d wannabe that doesn't really innovate all that much (cards =/= innovation).

Game looks pretty, but that's about it. Lot of the maps look strikingly familiar to L4D campaigns and while majority of them play well, some of them (Most of act 2) do not. Most of the weapons are trash and the only notable categories are assault rifles,LMGs and AA12 (which as always might as well be in a category of its own). The new "card system" is just slapped on it for no reason (who asked for cards?) and you need a decent deck to have any resemblance of fun ( I recommend just getting a few good healing / ammo cards at the start and then picking stamina cards every round after ).
Speaking of stamina...this might be the first ever zombie game that I played that somehow managed to make melee weapons not fun. They are literally useless since you also need stamina to swing them properly and the fact that there is a card that heals you every time you melee kill a zombie doesn't help at all since there is also a card that gives you a knife melee attack instead of a punch, and this also counts as a melee weapon so you can just heal yourself without even having a proper melee.Just run around and knife things.

This game uses some sort of game coordinator system (I think) that decides when zombies spawn, how many spawn, where you find loot, medkits all that sort of stuff. Thing is, unlike in L4d where this worked rather well, here it's so broken it's not even funny. The game can just randomly spawn 6 tough enemies around you (My fav was in the maze,3 Reekers spawned just around every corner along with charger looking guys and a horde,we had literally nowhere to run) and with how amazingly OP some of the large infected are , that means you'll just die.

There is a decent variety in the large infected :
Hocker / Stalker / Stinger - the most annoying bunch, with Hocker being totally broken since he can lock you in place with his projectile attack, which he seems to have on a very short cooldown, so if you dare to reload the second you see him, he will just pin you (Not to mention they jump all over the place and can pin you from a very far away, even when you're running / jumping around).
Retch/Exploder/Reeker - basically a large boomer, easy to deal with in most scenarios.
Bruiser/Crusher/Tallboy - Basically 3 variants of a charger, Crusher being the only notable one since he can pin the player down.
Snitcher - basically The Screamer, a cut enemy from l4d, what I don't understand that even if you kill them basically instantly and they won't even have time to scream, they still alert the horde somehow
Hag - basically witch but 5 times larger, not all that difficult to deal with if your team is half decent
Sleeper - Enemy that spawns on random walls and jumps at you pinning you down. 1 shot kills, but they can spawn in some places where they shouldn't
Breaker - Miniboss, just dodge his attack and blast his weakspots, easy to deal with.
Ogre - The biggest one of all (Not counting the final boss), his size really gets in his way since his AI is pretty poor (Just abuse any form of overhead cover and he won't know what to do most of the time)
Abomination - Final boss and my god, what a terrible way to end this. Looks impressive at first I guess but the combat with it is just flippin terrible. Seriously one of the worst bosses I ever had the privilege of fighting in a video game (feels like someone modded it in).

I already mentioned that Act 2 is mostly garbage, mostly boring sewers ,flooded city and a swamp so there's that.
Act 1 is cool, Act 3 is decent and Act 4 (one map, final bossfight) is total garbage. Unbalanced, terrible hit boxes in final phase of the boss (also falling rocks from the ceiling which aren't really signaled in any way noticeable way , always fun to lose all your hp to something you couldn't even see coming, at least add a shadow to signal that it's gonna fall) .
There are no medkits here (the only thing i could ever find in my 6 or so playthroughs of Act 4 were pills and bandages),so if you didn't have enough gold to buy em at the start, you will have to rely on said bandages and pills (which are mostly useless). There is an ammo crate in the second phase of the bossfight which is right in front of Abomination's mouth, so any unsuspecting survivor who runs towards it since that bright orange box is basically the only thing in that dull underground cave that stands out in any way, will get IK'd since the damn thing bites anyone who gets near it (range seems to vary).

So yeah, when on 50+% sale, this is a good pick, but it's really not worth 60, especially since I doubt there will be a publicly available map editor for custom campaigns.

A superb sequel to the original.
This might very well be the Shrek 2 of video games.

The game itself is fine until you get to Cornfield escape, in the final part where you need to collect coins, the game soft locks. You need to jump up balancing platforms around a tower, but the third one always shoots you in some random direction, mostly off bounds , and with no kill trigger under the map,you have no choice but to reset the whole level.

So if you want to finish this game, you need to download some save files, otherwise it's impossible to finish.

Where do I start...this game had so much potential...
Intriguing story, decent visuals, good soundtrack...
I really enjoyed the first 60 minutes or so, until i got to my first sword fight....my god, this game has terrible combat.
Worst in any game ever. Period. The only game that could rival this is Karate Champ for NES with its awful hit detection.
Your blows can go right through the enemy, enemies teleport into dodging animations just so that you won't hit them. It kinda reminds me of DayZ with how awful the combat is.

I think they went for "realism" but it just doesn't work, and your worst enemy, isn't the sh** controls when you're locked in a combat where it feels like you're skating on ice, it's not the fact that you can basically soft lock yourself in mid air because some brainiac decided to make all shrubs and bushes solid , so you can technically jump off a hill into a bunch of bushes and be stuck there indefinitely (you can't fast travel when in combat or when performing an action, floating in the air counts), it's not the fact that your inbred character can't defend himself, nor can he attack when he gets hit because it drains all the stamina or because he just ignores your commands to block, it's the camera.

My god...how did they manage to f*** it up this bad? Even if you're 1v1, the camera is having a hard time staying locked onto an enemy ( and you basically can't fight without camera lock), so you will be looking at scenery around you or the sky more than the enemy you're currently fighting.
Imagine playing Dark Souls in first person, where your camera follows the characters head rotation and can't stay locked on target. It's nauseating.

This alone takes at least 5 points away out of possible 10,since fighting is such a large part of this game.

Archery is fine, you need to practice it a bit,but it works.

Oh, did I mention other infuriating things?

You basically can't save whenever you want, you can only save in taverns and in beds. You can buy a schnapps that allows you to save, but it's so expensive you won't be able to afford it ,especially if you like to make safety saves as often as me (or y'know, edit the game files so that it doesn't consume the schanpps).

There is no brightness adjustment. And clearly, whoever worked on night time lighting has never been outside during night. If you're in a forest, there is basically a thick, solid, pitch black fog like 5 meters away from you and you can't see where you're going. If you're not in a forest, the fog is like 10 meters away from you, and you still see s***.

Fast travel isn't worth it, first of all it's not fast travel, you watch your character on the map move towards your location, and you encounter some bandits every what feels like 3 seconds, it's faster to walk than to fast travel.

So yeh, amazing potential, and if you're willing to run some trainers for god mode during bull**** moments in the game,it's actually quite enjoyable.
I'd give it a solid 8/10.
But most of the time the game feels like it's cheating. It's one of these "outcheat the cheating game" kind of game.

So more like 4/10, and that's me being generous.
