The fact that any one of these 50 games could have been released as a shocking indie success says so much about fantastic this game is overall.

An absolutely fun and enjoyable metroidvania. Not excruciatingly difficult or too hand-holdly, but actually a nice middle ground with adorable characters and such a nice hand-crafted vibe to the whole experience. The mechanics introduced throughout the game are fun, the backtracking is lessened by the teleport system on the map, and the whole upgrade system isn't too grindy either.

Overall, it's just a really fun and laid back take on the genre and it's definitely worth picking up if you want to not tear your hair out with boss timings and hours of backtracking.

Incredibly unique and satisfying game, really shows off what inspired indie devs can do a genre.

The game took me about 3 hours, and there was maybe only a handful of the levels that took me a decent number of attempts to find the "right way" to do it (that said there's a ton of open ended flexibility with how you can go about each level.)

Highly recommend this to anyone looking a short-ish shooter puzzle game, with some really awesome visuals and a very guttural score that keeps the mood intense the whole time.

Very fun and well crafted puzzle game. I certainly enjoyed the learning process the game puts you though as you advance to each new area. It never got dull despite being literally the same basic process each time, thanks to the unique structure each new language puzzle was built around.

The ending (no spoilers) felt a little rushed, and a little too easy, but the final pay off was honestly really neat and I had an absolute blast the whole time.

Also runs great on Steam Deck / Linux!

Very cute and very fun and very relaxing.
Only took about 3 hours to "complete" the game, but there is certainly more to do in your save if you want to spend more time enjoying all the cute little Loddle variations.

Played the demo and was very eager to play the full game, and I'm glad to say I've no regrets pick this up, and will certainly return at some point to 100% the achievements since it's all very attainable in my opinion.

Also, the music is fantastic and the art design is all around so cute and comfy. Lots of love and time were poured into Loddlenaut and it absolutely shows!

Certainly a harking back to the good old days of fun "basic at first but deep the more you go" roguelikes (and *actually* a rogue-like, unlike a lot of games in the genre).

Highly recommend for anyone who was looking into trying the more classic titles but was turned off by the vibes that surround older titles that haven't got that QOL touch.

Literally Risk of Rain 1 but better in every way. Adds a nice amount of quality of life updates to the gameplay, which make it feel somewhat updated compared to the original. But what's very nice is that before each run, it lets you disable each game rule change *individually* if you really just want the game to play and feel like the original (or if you want only some of the updates but not others.)

Overall, if you loved RoR1 but were tortured by the painful multiplayer limitations / issues, this is a much welcomed replacement. And if you're a newer fan of the franchise coming from RoR2, I highly urge you to play the game that started it all. It's still a very fresh experience!

I have more hours spent in RoR1 than I could ever count, and I can't wait to do it all again in RoRR.

Low hours on this are not representative of my actual time played, as I played more hours than I can possibly count back in the initial 2020 demo.

Everything about this game has been an incredible improvement since then: more adorable characters / costumes, some really creative and fun maps, and *shockingly* a very fair and fun unlocking / progression system for getting cosmetics and earning the shop currency.

Reminiscent of Gang Beasts combined with the wacky sports / team modes from Fall Guys. It's a great time all around.

Only real complaint (a minor one) is that there's a daily cap on how much XP you can earn from the custom lobbies. It makes sense though, since it'd be very easy to farm XP with them otherwise, but it's just a bit of a bummer when I know most of my time with this will be with a full friends-only custom lobby and less so in the public matchmaking (though I still have played in there and it's very fun).

Overall fantastic game, if you're looking for some mindless chaotic multiplayer fun that just goes on and on, I can't recommend a better game than this.

Adorable and fun, mostly a quick playthrough (my playtime is skewed by leaving it on while asleep one night) but still rewarding when you beat a boss.

Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a more laid back and stress-free metroidvania.

Fantastic 8-ish hour story. Spooky-lite I would call it, as in it's not really a "horror" game but it's got some fun suspense and creepy moments throughout.

I realize I'm pretty late to the party on this one, but regardless I'd say it's certainly worth picking up.
