Very amusing city simulation, using beavers instead of people is certainly a new twist.
(40 hours for the Folktails, 50 hours for the Iron Teeth.. was definitely worth the price.)

For a game that had 14(!) years of development, and received several vaporware awards in the meantime, DNF turned out simply awful and not worth of the name. While the original DN3D allowed mostly free exploration, DNF follows a very linear path, interspersed with macho cinematics that were already kinda cringe in the 90s but are completely inacceptable in 2010. If you haven't played DN3D and want to spend like 5$ at a sale, sure, grab it, there's worse games to waste your time in.. but by god don't pay regular price and don't expect too much good entertainment.

This game is quite a mixed bag. The graphics and animation is rather well done, the music quite immersive. Skill tree and item creation is nicely thought out while not too complicated. However, the story is mostly boring and inconsistent, the gameplay overall is annoyingly linear railroad-y, world exploration is severely limited.
For the 20$ it's priced at now (01/2025), it's several hours of good entertainment and well worth getting.

Amusing and quite challenging base building and automation game, recommended for everyone who thinks Factorio is too flat. They take "Early Access" very seriously though, so every update every few months brings a lot of changes and improvements, and you may have to redesign your automations accordingly until things have settled down.

I've tried several times to get into a certain japanese-made monster taming game and failed because it was just too boring in the long run. Now that Palworld has taken that concept and added large open world exploration, crafting, base building and many other neat features to it, I'm absolutely in love. Highly recommended!

Kinda sad.. it looked like a nice indie arena PvP game when it came out in 2017, but it has mostly died out by now. No updates means no new players, no new players means no matches happening anymore. It could have been much more if the devs hadn't lost interest in the project years ago.

An absolutely hilarious game. Kick houses down, throw or eat cars.. the perfect casual frustration reliever.
Highly recommendable addition to any game library.

I tried it because it sounded like a nice and interesting concept and the graphics look quite nice, but the playability leaves quite something to be desired yet. There's very little explanation what you need to do at which time, and even less clear feedback if something goes wrong. I've been in a constant cycle of "I have no clue what to do" and "I know exactly what I need to do, but the game won't let me do it". The game rejecting an attempt to place a building with a simple boop sound might mean anything from "lack of resources" over "too far away from whatever it wants to be placed next to" to "you can't build a house on water" - the game won't tell you. just keep trying, maybe it'll work at some point. "the mine needs more workers!" - i know, i'll build a road from the train station where the workers arrive to the mine.. BOOP. BOOP. no road here. BOOP. we need more workers! boop.
you can't place a city center near a warehouse, but you can place a warehouse near a city center. that's totally logical, I guess.
yeah, no. maybe it'll get better in the next few months, i'll probably give it another try some day, but for now it's a refund.

Cute casual game, very easy to understand but challenging to master.
