Terraria is a great 2d sandbox game with hours of gameplay and many things to do even post-endgame. I absolutely recommend this game to anyone even if youre not into this genre.

Gameplay. The gameplay is my favorite part of Terraria, its simple, walk, jump, mine, defeat enemies. Those are the basics of any rpg game, what Terraria gives you is a full sandbox environment tons of usable in-game gear all with different functionalities. Some may say Terraria is the 2d equivalent of Minecraft, a game which is also sandbox with tons of fun content, i say Terraria is much more. The game doesn't have much lore so you make it as you progress although Terraria is based on H.P. Lovecrafts works and as such you may find many disturbing themes even as you first create your world.

Customization. The game has any cosmetic items with exception to weapons. As you play you may find different clothes or accessories which then you can *dye* to change their colors to whatever suits you the best. There are a bunch of pets, mounts, vehicles some of which are purely cosmetic but others that give great benefits to gameplay, those can also be dyed to suit your needs. Besides player items you can also have loads of different decorations you can put in your world, you aren't restricted to making the same structure over and over, with all the options you can choose there are almost endless ways you can use your creativity.

Graphics & sounds. The music is gorgeous and so are the pixel-art graphics. The artists offer you genuine pixel-art instead of smooth brush-like graphics. Art-style looks great and is accompanied by great particle effects, falling leaves, laser beams and many others. To add on the great looks you also get great music and SFX. Music isn't 8-bit vaporwave which you would expect, its greatly composed music, from deep tunes to techno.

Multiplayer. Usually you would start playing in single-player, to make yourself accustomed to the game but after a while it may get boring. Multiplayer saves you from the boredom of playing hours and hours on the same worlds and characters. Playing in multiplayer offers a few multiplayer-exclusive features and even more hours to spend playing. From my experience hosting & playing Terraria on steam doesn't lag even with multiple players, but you might need a dedicated server if you want to play with tens or even a hundred of people. People can't randomly join you without an invite so you are mostly safe from people trying to sabotage you. Its best played with a small circle of good friends, that is when multiplayer reaches its peak point.

Summary. I love the game, so do many others. Even if the game doesn't get more updates after 1.4 *Journey's End* i will still love the game and support it and its developers. In my thought Terraria is the one game everyone should have in their library.

Thanks for staying till the end. Check out my other reviews if you wish, i review rarely but i try to make them better each time.
