Early Access Review
The Front | By Wholf
  • I used to play and stream The Front for about 70 hours, dedicating nearly 5 hours a day with love, passion, and enthusiasm. Initially, the game was fantastic—smooth, fun, and packed with activities. It felt like a modern version of Rust with added features, and I was excited about its future.

  • I actively helped many players on stream, through my YouTube videos, on Steam, and Discord. Eventually, I was promoted to Moderator for The Front, continuing to support the community with 100% dedication.

  • However, over time, the game began to decline. The player count dropped, and negative feedback and reviews increased due to numerous bugs, glitches, poor communication (the biggest issue), and a lack of updates and new features. After 2 to 3 months of being almost constantly involved, I realized the developers no longer had the same passion.

  • I haven’t played The Front for several months but decided to write this review to warn potential buyers about its current state. The low player count, persistent bugs and glitches, lack of communication, and absence of updates make the game feel empty and neglected.

  • You can still buy the game and might enjoy it for about 10 to 20 hours. However, one of the main issues is the prevalence of cheaters. The team responsible for banning cheaters is far behind schedule. The game is infested with cheaters who can destroy your base with a few clicks. I investigated and documented the cheaters, finding that they continued to ruin servers for weeks. Despite multiple attempts to contact the team, I received no response.

  • The game has a lot of potential. It looks good, runs smoothly, sounds are decent, and there’s plenty to do, especially when building your base. But currently, you’ll mostly see “maintenance notice” messages, cheaters destroying bases, unpopulated servers, and an overall empty feeling.

  • I decided to step down as a Moderator and leave everything behind, feeling that my time, effort, and dedication were wasted. The only positives were gaining moderation experience and a bit of reputation. I felt betrayed by the developers, which is a real shame.

Thank you Wholf ! I was getting ready to buy this game and saw your review when I checked the system requirements. Looks like you saved me a lot of trouble. Have a good one my friend. ~Mu
