Addendum 2: Oct. 2 2024. I have seen one bot since last update, it was quickly kicked, and sightings of them have been nearly nonexistent outside that encounter. Let's hope valve keeps it up

With #FixTF2 on the horizon, this feels appropriate:

Steam reviews are about RECOMMENDATION. I LOVE TF2, BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT IN ITS CURRENT STATE.

I've seen absent parents show less neglect to their children than Valve does to this game. I despise cheaters as much as the next guy, and I'm glad to see the greater community pull themselves up by the bootstraps and really (and I mean REALLY, not the half-assed twitter circlejerk 2 years ago) take the bot crisis seriously.

All we want is a functional anti-cheat, and some maintenance would be the cherry on top. Valve may be stretched thin on personnel, but they are rolling in cash, capable of hiring any amount of contractors they need to do their dirty work.

Get your act together, Valve, and #FixTF2
