Who knew this game would make me better understand animal psychology. It’s a beautiful game where you get to play as a cat. You can’t go too wrong with that especially if you’re a cat lover. It’s better to go into the game not knowing much of anything in my opinion to get more enjoyment out of it. But I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing through it.

The visuals and music are well done and of course I can’t forget the part where you have the ability to just ‘Meow’ whenever you want. Overall, the game is a bit short but if you take your time talking to characters, exploring the areas, and getting all the collectibles, then that will greatly extend your play time. I highly recommend this game.

A cute and light-hearted game following an ember who is trying to find his way home. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through this game. I liked the soft spoken narration with the dialog as well as the various characters you come across. It’s a puzzle game but most of them are easy enough to figure out with maybe only a few that might prove to be challenge at first. Overall, the game has very easy achievements most of which is progressing through the game while a few others require finding other characters and doing puzzles.

Chrono Trigger is a game released back in 1995 that was well ahead of its time. Even in today’s standards the game stands out amongst most RPG’s as it’s a classic. My favorite part about the game is the music. Just about every soundtrack is a masterpiece. The main character, Crono, doesn’t talk at all in the game outside of the player making dialogue choices. All of the other characters are interesting in their own way and have some importance during the main story.

The concept of the game is directly related to time travel. What’s really neat about it is that there may be events in the past that the player might end up changing that will directly affect events in the future. Story wise, it’s not overly complicated with insane plot twists and such. It’s a simple adventure game that allows player to travel between different time periods and seeing how the world has changed while at the same time figuring out what the main threat of the world is. The game has multiple endings some of which the player can get early on in the game. If you’re strong enough you can even tackle the final boss within the first parts of the game if you’re prepared for it.

Overall, I personally enjoyed the game. The one thing I liked about it is that I didn’t feel like I had to go too much out of my way to grind to level up my characters. There were some abilities that might take a little more time to improve that would require fighting more monsters to gain enough points to level them up, but outside of that it wasn’t too bad. And the turned based fighting is smooth in a way that there are no transitions like in other turn based games. As soon as you encounter the enemy or boss it goes straight into combat within the same screen. So I thought that was a cool way of cutting out the unnecessary battle transitions to get straight to the fighting part of it. Lastly, I used a controller to play the game so I’m not sure how good the game operates with a keyboard.

I enjoyed my time playing through this game. There are several episodes included in this collection which offer many different choices that players can choose along the way. Most of which usually end up in failure, but it's a fun way to see the various outcomes and how Henry will end up dealing with the different situations. There are many references to other video games which most gamers would recognize fairly quickly. I thought that was a nice touch to include those for nostalgia purposes.

I found how enjoyable it was to earn the achievements. Most of them are fairly easy to acquire while others might require replaying to collect character bios or outcomes of failures that might not have been seen yet. On the plus side, players can replay chapters after beating that particular episode to make it easier to acquire any other missing achievements.

Overall, I appreciate the comedy and writing of the collection. I never did play the flash version of Henry Stickmin but from what I can tell this collection offers an improved detail to its art style then from its flash roots. If you’re able to get this on sale or from a game bundle, then I would highly suggest playing it.
